      Great comment I can’t see I’ve ever had dry eel as the most of the eel here is done in either a soup or salad yes the place was buzzing like a hive so many people there the smell from the delicious food permeates the air. Thhank you for watching our channel. We appreciate you.

    Very progressive food

    • @mahoneytravels
      @mahoneytravels  2 месяца назад

      Progressive in the west or maybe even trendy. However this is everyday standard Khmer food. Thank you for watching our channel.👍

    i definitely love eel but only had in japan so far (unagi). looking forward to cambodia style

      How was it in Japan? In Cambodia it’s usually marinated and in a soup or salad. Packed with flavor but the bones 🦴 are ever present 😂💪

      @@mahoneytravels unagi is pretty much free of bones. they grill it and then put on some delicious magical bbq sauce and serve on rice. its my fave thing to eat in japan, name.y the hamamatsu region where its a delicacy.

    Those are good prices for the amount of food you get. I never had eel before, does it taste like fish or snake more, or does it have it's own unique flavour? Thanks for the video guys!😇

    • @mahoneytravels
      @mahoneytravels  2 месяца назад

      It usually has been marinated so it’s a texture thing more than anything else. For me the small bones are hard to ignore. But I do eat it when done in a soup or salad. When you come the Cambodia you will have to give it a try💪 thank you for always watching our channel. Yes the prices are great especially for the amount of food you get for the money 💰

      😂 Linda will disagree however I agree with you on the insects. They are not my favorite but if you can get past the texture they do go down great with beer. Thank you for watching our channel 🙏🏼🇰🇭

      @@AlFakherFan I have my own fried cricket lady and it's one of my favorite snacks. Crunchy on the outside, a little greasy, a little spicy, and absolutely delicious!
