    jamie about a season and a half ago i had been watching your vids and when going to matches with my dad he is a massive john arthur fan. he would say i watched john last night and i would say i watched jamie and hughes he would say no harrison fishing with his dad.long story shortmy dads 81 this year and ive just bought us a van so we can fish in comfort he has bought a preston push trolley and me a Matrix F & P System 2 Wheel Transporter and with all our stuff for competitions we are sorted. I have been fishing with the old man all winter but now i get watched jamie last night and i say hughes no harrison he says so now you have a new fan and it will probably be our last year competition fishin i hope not but my dad is 81 this year and yesterday we did the double both dry netted but thats fishing the week before he caught roach up to a lb and i had 2 clonkers lovely carp 8-10lb on maggot. Anyway i might of got it wrong i have been watching your journey about 6 months before you went into fishing for a living and how did that work out hopefully still living the dream.

    Well done Jamie unlucky with the payout system but at least it gives each lake something to fish for - looking forward to the lighter nights and the chance to fish some evening sessions on there

      Thanks Jamie, I think you're right, you missed a trick on the feeder line but hey, we all done exactly the same thing at times.
      Still 68lb not a bad days fishing buddy. 👍

    Well fished Jamie. I agree with you that the Corn Line should have been further out and also I would have started on a bigger bait. Very instructive though, Cheers

    Great video mate !! I found chucking method over top of loose pellets works on that 20-25 meter line I can never catch on bomb there very annoying

    Great video. I'm relatively new to fishing and i like the tips I pick up. Can you let me know the details of your timer/clicker etc, I'd like to get one

    Those pellets you pulted out will be everywhere apart from on your bait with that wind

    Strange how bomb didn't produce very much but l think it is more a long range peg. 68lb is still a very good weight.

      Thanks Tony and yes I think it is but I don't think I got the feed bait / feeding quite right. As always, I'd love to have a crack at that match again! Haha

  • @wharfeego
    @wharfeego 11 месяцев назад

    Eh'up Jamie. Well done. You might've done better if you played it differently but you also could've weighed a load less. You did what you thought right during the match - and that's all that you can do - all good experience in the bank. I live listening to how you read the live situation. I noticed that your rod tip appeared to be set at more of a right angle to your feeder/bomb - the way I used to fish a quiver tip in the old days - was that so - and if so so why please? I've only just got back to serious fishing after a fotty years break - and when watching vids of anglers feeder fishing they mostly appear to have the rod tip set almost straight to the feeder. All the best, Andy Holden.

    Can ask a question when you caught your first fish and it got snagged in the margin and you got off your box to free it and landed it is that allowed I always thought you had to stay on your peg when playing or landing a fish ?

    • @CatchFishingChannel
      @CatchFishingChannel  6 дней назад

      It's allowed there and usually organisers and fisheries let you go halfway to the next peg but I've never really seen rules like that in writing except for national and international matches.

      @CatchFishingChannel  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks Dave and yes they let you fish these matches as an open match even if you're not fishing the league. There are only 2-3 of them left this winter though mate.

    Make sure you have 6 mil pellets they don’t like the 8 mil. 🤦😂 you do realise that they brake down, 2 mill not going make any difference. Match anglers are strange,
