The campaigns have been far better than the multiplayers since MW3. In truth, Black Ops was the last MP I enjoyed.

GenericOverload I'm sorry you missed the 90's and early 2k; but WW games were a dime a dozen and are tired nowadays. And I am not even talking "customization"; I am talking just how many times can you storm Omaha beach?
Lord Seth There were more battles than were depicted in games. There were also limitations as to what they could add in the past WW games.
Want to talk about a saturated market? The market for futuristic games. A world war game at this point in time would be a blessing. Way too many games are being played in the future. Hell, battlefield has been slowly moving towards that idea, then you got CoD, Halo and now Titan Fall which will probably see a sequel, and you have so many futuristic games you will need a new house just to fit them all.
It's the opposit dude; when the genre started it was ALL futuristic settings; because "real life" was harder to represent with game graphics; Doom, Unreal, Quake, etc; EVERYTHING was set in the future or on a science fiction setting.
We are going back to the source; yeah I know WW one and 2 had way more battles, but it's still the problem; there are only so many things you can do with a historical setting; and Wolfenstein is the proof that the WWII setting is stale, they had to go and steam punk it.
Me? I don't mind going for more diverse play styles, not being constrained by "real life" is a huge plus in my book. Oh and I forgot the other grand daddy of FPS games DUKE NUKEM 3D.
So if you don't like future setting? then you DIDNT PLAY FROM THE START; for old school guys like me it's back to the good old days of not giving a damn about realism and getting some sweet weapons and gadgets.

Call of Duty Black Ops II was probably the best and most competitive Call of Duty I ever played. It's better than all the other Call of Duty's and always will be. Well MW2 was also good, but only because it began competitive sniping.

xDrumstepperx 2 things. 1 , it makes no sense to call someone a moron of their opinion. "Black Cocks" 2 IMO (In My OPINION) was one of my fav's, with mw2 imo being the best. I liked cod mw4, but thought mw2 was a massive improvement, especially in the perk and level design. I also enjoyed the campaign in mw2 more because of its added holywoodness(??????). Still both good though. I think we can all agree though that ghosts was a massive disappointment, to put it lightly.

You guys doe realize this is E3 right? It's an expo for people to attend to see the latest games coming out and showcase them. This isn't a conference specifically for Advanced Warfare. This is just the clip of the time that was allotted for for the companies that made the game to debut it's gameplay in a demo.

Same here. So fucking tired of all this future bullshit. Why can't we have more shooters like Medal of Honor 2010? The campaign pulls at your heart, especially because the characters are real soldiers. The only game set in the future that I'm looking forward to is Star Citizen.

Yes the series has sucked ass in the past, but from the looks of this trailer the change in studios seems to have also changed the game significantly. Of course we will have to wait until release to really see how much it has changed, but i'm hoping they can give a fresh nee feeling the way that the original Modern Warfare did back in the day

Honestly, if the title of this game wasn't call off duty people would say the game looked promising. Call of duty gets so much hate for not being innovative, but I think we should give the new developers a chance. Atleast don't say the game is shit before it comes out.
I don't know. This doesn't look very ideal even without COD in front of it. I hardly saw a single bullet fly in this mans direction. people went down so fast you might as well replace them with paper dolls. Is the purpose of the drones to run into people? If so, thats an egregious waste of tax payer money. the first few seconds were clearly indicative of a quick time event that was almost embarrassing to watching since the lever was less than three inches away from the guys hand. Metal chassis or not, this character feels like he's standing straight up 80% of the time. This is the future, losing arms and legs is clearly not an issue, just shoot the guys fucking arm off if he's stuck instead of losing yours. once more there is a giant robot that feels like its doing absolutely nothing and you don't have the option of using it as a vantage point.
As a note, this is only a small portion of early development so i'm not going to tear on it too much. But those stood out to me the most. While yes, it is new; it doesn't feel very creative. They took the core that people were calling bland and swiftly duct taped a jet pack and metal arms too. A good try, but not the sort of innovation I feel people were looking for.
Eh this game doesn't look that good, regardless if it's CoD or not. The whole time I was watching this I was thinking "I've seen so many FPS that look like this already", like Titan Fall or Crysis. I even noticed how some of the explosions and missiles looked off and how the A.I. looks awful, like if a grenade is floating infront of you, why would you just stand there? Then there was the cliche' storyline demonstration so I don't even want to know how awful the real story is, even though the main thing for games like this is the multiplayer. This is why I usually don't waste my time with AAA games now a days, keep churning out the same shit and everyone on console loves it.

James Jt Look out, we got a cod lover over here. I don't hate the series, I just think the storyline is repetitive and boring every time. Plus, jetpacks, large sights on the gun, it's titanfall set in the not so distant future.
Just for the record, I've never bought a cod game in my life. I've played many of them, and understood that it's a game for people who enjoy the hardcore fps action genre. I like more of a structured game based on a well-written story line. Not to say cod doesn't have a good story line, just that it's the same thing every time.

I'm glad that CoD's graphics are finally on par with the rest of the industry. It's long overdue. The sounds seem like they could be better though. They seem to lack.. weight? if that's the right word.

You know all the games that are successful, does the character talk? NO. You know why?
The reason they do this is for specific clever story telling techniques. If the character doesn't talk you can relate to him & it's apparently more immersive than him talking.
You know why some Super Hero stories are better than others, or why some Hero movies are better than others? Because they make the character as relate able as possible to other people. This is why the Spider - man franchise is so successful.

KICKUR AXE I know, it's crazy that some people want the same game over and over, but complain that things never change.
I just realized, a year from now I will be joining the army, so I've officially said ah fuck it, and I'm buying this year Advanced Warfare, Assassin's Creed Unity, and anything else interesting coming out, because next year I won't get a chance to get the next games.

Nevertheless you are doing something that we all need so thanks. Whenever I hear all-out pacifists, or people who think we should NEVER intervene in places like Afghanistan or Syria, that the army is immoral, I think of that George Orwell quote - "people sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."
It's a bit glib, and it's not that people like you stand ready to do violence, as though you're thirsting for it - it's that a society has to confront threats with a threat of retaliatory action or we'd be fucked.
As the thought experiment goes, one man with a butter knife could take control of an entire city of true pacifists(I remember one true pacifist, on a T.V. debate, being asked what he'd do if someone tried to kill his family - he said he'd do everything he could besides violence, and if the attacker couldn't be stopped except through violence he would stand by as his family was killed. Now some people might respect the strength of his principles. Most people...wouldn't. I find the position he takes up mental and bordering on morally reprehensible. It illustrates the problem with absolute pacifism, and frankly, all absolute positions in general. I can't imagine his family are that impressed) It'd be better to live in a world where an army wasn't needed but that's not the real world. Stay true to western values, good luck.

I get why people think COD can get generic at times, and I agree with them but hot damn! People hate this with a passion. I think it deserves at least a LITTLE praise, are you telling me you didn't experience any emotion at all when your character lost his *fucking* *arm*?

Well for me, it's kind of predictable. The guy has to plant a bomb but at the last minute his arm gets stuck, so even though you were able to rip a metal door off its hinges moments ago, you can't get that door to budge even slightly? Then of course he says a few words, pushes him off then dies only to have the guy who fell lose his arm or leg, (in this case an arm) then another solider calls for a medic and says your going to be ok, then your're dragged back to show what part of your body is missing. For me, there was nothing there to make me get emotional. I mean yeah, it sucks he lost his arm though. Now if they were to have the person you're playing with get his arm stuck and had the other character say something like "I can save your life, but you're going to lose that arm" then you had to choose whether to push him off or have him cut off your arm to live, then to me, that would have more of an emotional impact.
Honestly the guy arm getting stuck didn't phase me but your character loosing an arm did make me go oh shit
C.King "predictable"? I don't know too many movies or games where the main character graphically loses his arm while trying to save someone. The guy getting stuck in the plane wasn't exactly a tearjerker, but the *loss of your arm* had to have SOME impact.
Its fun to single out and hate something successful. Just look at Apple. Sure, they aren't the best products, but the products are still good if not great.

Really? Please tell me how this is the same to Killzone, and explain how it's 800 times worse? You haven't even seen a fraction of the game. You don't even know what the multiplayer will be like. You don't know what the rest of the story will be like. You don't even know any of the mechanics of the guns/equipment. Sure this gameplay footage was boring, but that's because the player was too busy showing off the graphics. It was a stupid representation of gameplay. And because we haven't seen much of the gameplay, there's no valid criticisms that could be made. Also, this game has been in development for 3 years, so to say it cloned a game that came out last year is absurd.

How can you say they didn't steal this from Titanfall? They blatantly did. And as for the 'Oh, it's been in development 3 years blah blah', that doesn't mean they had all this shit ready for 3 years. There's a lot more to a game than just making it like this, things like planning, base design etc. Things like adding what we're seeing in this video will take you like 6-12 months to add in, provided you have the base of everything in already. This is ridiculously similar to Titanfall and it is actually criminal how they can get away with this shit. CoD games do nothing but copy other games constantly. Miles behind Battlefield in the quality of the game, shame nobody sees it like this since nobody likes playing games unless you can get like 200+ kills in a game of fucking Demoltion. I think this CoD will actually be really good. I know how hard 3d modeling and programming is. I'm working on my own indie title and it's fucking hard.
This goes against everything I stood for but....this game looks like it worth buying. Graphics are huge upgrade compared to the previous games. I don't see why everyone is complaining.
People complain as each CoD is more downgraded in tech and this one sends it into the future, which sends people into confusion. Most people want it to be like how they are supposed to be like; where its all more 21st century stuff, and apparently, future tech in a game such as this, makes it boring. Though, games like Halo, isnt boring even though it has future tech because it was starting off like it. CoD started off in the wars where tech was kinda minimal at that time and that's what people mostly wanted from games and now that the tech in real life had improved, so did the games and everyone enjoyed that. Then now, it went past all that and went straight into the future combat stage, where CoD fans may get confused and argue about it, but some is like "Oh hey, it looks awesome!". The confusion mostly comes from the fact that people get used to the style of games, then they change majorly so everything they saw about CoD; the environments, the guns, the vehicles etc, is totally different to what they was originally used to.
This may not even be right but that's my conclusion for it.

LOL Infinityward developers in an interview mentioned that they purposefully add mute protagonists for a sense of "mystery" allowing you to think for your own instead of having your player talk, or some bullshit. Treyarch games, on the other hand, had talking protagonists since Black Ops 1.
That really annoys me. When David Mason talked during gameplay in Black Ops 2 I didn't feel any detracting value, but rather it felt more human lol. This reminds me of MW2 were Soap would talk but then when you play through his eyes he is silent.

Titanfall still has fluid gameplay with the wall running, wall jumping, double jumps etc. Cod is just trying to cater to everyone, from trying to be like bf with ghosts distributable environments and big maps, Cod is just terribly copying other devs but doing a bad job at it..

What are you talking about? Black ops two was the only sort of futuristic game even though the U.S. military has most of the stuff in that game already. The only future thing about ghosts was that thing in space but we are already capable of making that. This is the first ACTUAL future cod game. Modern war has gotten so overused just like ww2. Well i think it looks mint. Each one of these games are there own and we should play them if we can or want. Titan fall is about mech suits manly and is only playable online. Crisis is a guy in a nanosuit so he's like a super soldier and Halo is about intergalactica annihilation and aliens and a awesome dude in a high tech battle suit all different ways of doing something cool the similarities are small at best and this is about soldiers with high tech weaponry in the future fighting another army with high tech weaponry and it's on earth see very different from the rest with similarities in names and a tiny bit in looks of certain things thats it so let's stop comparing it to other games and just enjoy peace out.
