2 weekends ago on a freakishly warm day here in Northern Ontario 🇨🇦, I threw on my heaviest clunky shoes (Endorphin Shift v1) and went out for a long run that turned into my marathon PB by 18 minutes! Feeling strong after a solid year of injury-free running and I've learned a few things...but definitely #1...is running slowly is better than not being able to run at all. I love running every day (no less than 5 miles) because it's mine and mine alone. I own every bit of it...good or bad. I love the uniqueness of every day's run...no two are ever the same...complacency can never set in and I think that is important in life too.
Ran a night race on Saturday -- The Joshua Tree Half-marathon in the sandy hills of Joshua Tree National Park. With a time of 1:51:38, won 1st place in my age group (60-64) and placed 79th overall, with over 1,500 participants. What a great group of runners from all walks of life and from around the country. Happy Birthday to True Love!
@@SethJamesDeMoor same here! Your toils lift me up daily. Seeing you never let a day get you off your game has been nothing short of inspirational. I’m 7 weeks post craniotomy today and at my therapy appointment today I took what are my first running steps since early September. Especially now remembering how you powered through the thick n thin of things in NYC I am ready to take those first steps. Tomorrow afternoon will be my day! Thank You Seth!
Happy birthday, Seth’s True Love!
