Listen to these instruments talk! These are the blues musicians others aspire to be. They have no peers in my humble opinion. Have watched this and "our last time" literally hundreds of times. This is my attitude adjustment music.
Holy crap, batman! He doesn't just play that ax-he plain lights it up and does things no one ever thought of. Ditto for the love doctor and a truly amazing band. I pity the fools that have never watched them perform.
His solo in "pardon" is fantastic. It's so laid back and elegant. Some of the parts where people would play "licks" he just strums a chord. He's just cool. ruclips.net/video/V_e85A55GwE/видео.html The pauses he takes makes the stuff he playes have more impact.
You should see all his videos. This dude is the truth. I listen to him back in 80’s. He inspired lots of greats Stevie Ray always giving Robert cray respect before his death
A brilliant guitarist with equally brilliant vocals. Very few have both (Clapton is one). Robert's voice is magnificent and his blues style of guitar playing and tone is so unique. In my top three guitarists of all time. He can sign my Strats anytime! Thank you for this video.
Incredibly tasty drumming. The syncopation eg on the cymbals is outstanding. Perfect example of drumming bringing out the best in the other band members.Have listended to this number many times over the past 8 years.
Man, he just kicks it so hard. Sooooooooooo many SRV soundalikes and flashers on the scene, but who is anywhere close to filling even one of RC's shoes?
I haven't heard this sound on Robert's Strat that much. He's playing with the neck pickup in this I think in the beginning. He's goes back to his usual sound for the solo. Robert is really great live isn't he? A dream concert would be Cray, Robben Ford and Larry Carlton playing the blues!
Absolutly great music! Thanks at TheBluestrader! May be it sounds strange, but I really would like to know, what would Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart think about about this kind of music!
Nice note but On the contrary - Bob Cray is certainly not a copycat. Few people realise he was right there as a well respected peer -co recording artist friend of SRV & Clapton as a guitar/ vocalist with that oh so gr8 keeper of the blues voice 👌
Robert Cray is so amazing it's terrifying.

That was just a joy to watch - wow!
Holy smokes, I've never seen a guitarist play with more emotion. He is the real deal.

It's amazing to watch what he does with the guitar while he is singing. The beat of the vocal is completely different that the guitar part.
