      I agree with you , because, as Nania says, "he caught so many passes behind the line of scrimage and they schemed him open a great deal." Also at his height and weight he will not be a great in-line blocker.

    I personally don't want Brock Bowers at pick 10. I still want either an offensive tackle or a wide receiver to be honest. Which prospect do you want the Jets to target on draft night Ian?

  • @Njbear7453
    @Njbear7453 9 месяцев назад

    I hate how divided we all are about this, but it’s because we want to see the jets WIN! How do you win? You score points on offense: Rodgers throwing to Wilson/ Williams/ Breece/ Bowers/ Gipson / Ruckert (I’m assuming a Conklin trade after the draft) can be successful I think. Bowers can line up anywhere, and can even be goal line back.

  • @JasonVersaggi

    Brock Bowers has been my undisputed #1 choice since week 18 and the meaningless win against Pats. I don't view Bowers as an upgrade over Ruckert and Conklin as much as I view him as an upgrade at WR2. I love Mike Williams but he is 30 and not ready from a bad injury until week 1. That's a bigger dice roll than Tyron Smith in my mind. Bowers is a big WR who also blocks. He can even be our goal line back! I love Bowers. But as you mention there are a lot of really really fantastic players in that vicinity. Imagine if we had the 6th pick? Jets would control the draft. I agree on Rubin at S and while outstanding it is a little bit of a luxury now with Davis back although Clark is also coming off an injury. I would be surprised if after taking Bowers in round one that Jets don't make a move for OL with next pick. You said something interesting on Malik Washington - "with a smart offensive coach" - do the Jets even have that on their staff? Aside from AR8 I don't think they do so it does worry me how some of the later round "gems" that might be unearthed would be utilized. I want Jets finding me NFL ready college prospects now. Players who have played a lot of college football games. I am not interested in future at all right now. Not with AR window closing. This is also why I do not want Jets to even consider a QB in ANY round. I would rather they spent that 4th or 5th round QB pick on another OL body. If it is not Zach our QB of the future is not on the horizon, it is AR. Worry about that later and try and win right now. IF they don't Douglas and Saleh are gone so if I'm them I am pounding table for NFL ready guys who don't need a lot of seasoning.

  • @common12
    @common12 9 месяцев назад

    Wow- this a very different mock! I don’t think Jets will take a S at 72 and Washington won’t be available that late.

  • @kdude25
    @kdude25 9 месяцев назад

    Not a bad mock. I love 7 round mocks because it focuses on the later rounds which is where most teams fill their roster.
    I think a trade in round 3 is more likely than a trade in Round 1. And I think we'll explore that for a trade back. And I think we'll go OT in Round 3. I'm looking at Patrick Paul from Houston in Round 3. Or a Kiran Amegadje from Yale if he's there.
    Round 4 I'd be open to a S if it's a player that they think can contribute right away, on ST or what not. I REALLY like Cole Bishop from Utah. He kinda reminds a lot of Jim Leonhard back in the day. The guy can hit, gives it his all every play. Great locker room guy. I would love him day 3.
    Another guy I like day 3 Zak Zinter G from Michigan. The guy was a round 2 lock before his knee got broken. So there's risk. But man the leadership, the work ethic, something I think you can't pass on. Perfect day 3 player. Round 4 I think he'll go.
    Bishop and Zinter are my two sleeper picks I really want on the Jets. I hope we get at least 1 of them.
    Qb, I just think it's going to be Jordan Travis. I think he'd fit perfectly with us as a development guy.
    Man I can't believe we're only 8 days away. I'm getting so pumped!

    • @KPowers-ri5rp
      @KPowers-ri5rp 9 месяцев назад +1

      I like zinter as well and what’s good is he can be a depth piece his first year or 2 which should help him heal fully, he is definitely a starting caliber guard, I’d be happy with bowers especially if Paul and zinter are picked afterwards and we even sign bakhteari as a depth piece as well. I really want Ricky pearsall if we somehow get a second rounder (although I think he’s Indy bound reunited with Richardson), I can see Denver or Vegas training one of their third rounders to trade with us because Minnesota needs a qb and if one’s available the raiders and broncos will need us to get him over Minnesota

    • @kdude25
      @kdude25 9 месяцев назад

      @@KPowers-ri5rp I could see Pearsall going Round 1 too because of his athleticism. He kinda reminds me of Justin Jefferson coming out of college. Where he's really athletic, a lot of people think he's gonna primarily play the slot. But he has the ability to play outside.
      Will he be JJ? Most likely no. But I think he's better than what some people are giving him credit for. I'd love Pearsall too, but I doubt we get him unless we trade WAAAAAAAAY back in the first round.

    If they had the chance to draft Bowers? They would have to use him , like the number 1 target. Just for him to be utilized for his skill set. I don't think? That the Jets will be set for that?

  • @joerazz91
    @joerazz91 9 месяцев назад

  • @ralphrufrano7163
    @ralphrufrano7163 9 месяцев назад

    I agree with both sides of this position because although Ol seems more pressing it’s a coin toss. It comes down to who you believe in more and their ability to make an impact sooner. If it was him vs Alt no question but even though all are promising you just have to look at Becton to see that they may never reach the ceiling you hope they will. If this is an OL. Class then one further down can be trained to fit the role. If we think the vets are gonna go down then what are we doing, winning on paper and selling the future? It’s a crap shoot!

    I simply can't believe how silly and gullible most of my fellow Jets fans are when it comes to even contemplating the Jets taking Bowers as their pick at 10...
    The draft gurus were only ever put into place to LITERALLY lure the first 10-15 bad teams into taking players that they either already know won't be a system fit, have issues, or will be an outright bust...
    They deliberately backload the first round by hyping-up these types of issues-ridden guys, so that the more savvy GMs on the better teams can take the less-hyped but better-equipped guys, thereby helping the good teams remain as good teams, while the bad teams stay bad...
    Bowers might become a star on another team, with a great OC and proven system, but here, he will fall flat on his face with Hackett and the Jets mostly awful coaching on that side of the ball...
    Bowers is a LUXURY pick, for a team that is ready to win or go farther into the playoffs, and who have NO OTHER NEEDS...
    The Jets are "somewhat" ready to be a playoff contender, but they are not in any sort of a luxury position whatsoever, and they need O-line depth! Stop falling for all the draft guru-Johnny Mitchell-Kyle Brady-Anthony Becht false hype, Jets fans!! Vernon Gholston was also supposed to be a "freak" too...How'd that turn out?
    We have a couple good TEs here besides...We need other things right now... stop thinking we are going to land the next Gronkowski, or Kelce, or Kittle! Those guys do not come along very often and none of them were drafted in the first round either! Jets fans have that same silly expectation every time we draft a quarterback that is somehow going to become Pat Mahomes overnight. And having that kind of false hope just makes you seem ridiculous...

    The Jets have a gaping need on Offensive Line for the last 3 Seasons and have not taken an O Lineman in the First Round in the last two years so Dane Brugler has the Jets draftong a TE. This begs the question is Brugler an idiot or just another Jet Hater ? This shows that Mock Drafts are a useless exercise designed to generate clicks.
