If you follow junior football in any way, you have to admire Auchinleck Talbot. The committee’s & fans alike have been amazing, notwithstanding the players. I have absolutely no connection whatsoever with the team, but I have seen them physically lift the Scottish Junior Cup twice. Tommy Sloan is an absolute “legend”

Pyramid system is by far the best thing that’s happened to Scottish football in a very long time IMO

Pollok fan here - Auchinleck are a beacon not just for former Junior teams but for ALL teams in what it means to have a football team - Community spirit, togetherness, and success.
I'm often asked how the top Junior teams (Pollok, Beith, Kilwinning and of course Talbot) will do in the higher leagues. My opinion is should they wish to get promoted from the WOSFL, the Talbot will then run through the Lowland league like a hot knife through butter up to League 2 where they'll do some serious damage to some serious senior teams.

After beating ayr utd,who were sitting 2nd top of the championship.i think beating teams from the 2nd division is setting the bar a bit low for a team like talbot.they have proved over the years theirs more championship clubs that would not like to come up against them.

@@doonbradan6665 Maybe so Brian but you only need to listed to Mr Dumigan and Mr Chisholm and they are quite rightly respectful and unassuming about their chances of success higher up. Also bear in mind Talbot beat Ayr Utd in a one off game, Talbot are exceptionally clinical in cup competitions, it may be different playing league 2 or League 1 team on a regular basis. However I've no doubt they would make a very good account of themselves.
