- Opened in 1986, the World Waterpark in West Edmonton Mall, Alberta is the second largest indoor water park in North America and is home to the the Blue Thunder Wave pool, which is world's largest indoor wave pool with a capacity of 12.5 million liters!
The World Waterpark is open year round with and average air temperature of 31 °C (88 °F) and welcomes up to 3000 guests at a time. The waterpark features 17 unique water slides, hot tubs and themed children's play areas.

The whole concept of an indoor water park is so cool! Just the idea of being able to visit in the middle of winter is totally amazing! Looks like a really fun place to visit although I think I'd pass on the Cyclone. Looked a bit scary!!😮
Being insurers is absolutely a necessity in the cold Edmonton winters! The cyclone wasn't too bad because it's fully enclosed. The sky screamer makes me more nervous because it's a straight drop and an open slide.

It was a fun (but exhausting) day. I was able to go on almost all of the slides and was there from opening right through to closing!
I noticed you have some sort if aquatic sock, winderinf where i could get one seems like a great addition didn't know it existed. Tha ks for this video trying to get the family from Aus to come to Edmonton this cideo helped heaps !

I remember there were a couple rides that said no footwear allowed but nobody ever mentioned it while I was there! I preferred those to walking around all day in bare feet!

5:22, The Cyclone Slide.. that was my favorite slide out of all of these slides!!
WOW.. MAN OH SHEVITS.. DID THAT SLIDE ABSOLUTELY DRENCH YOU AT THE END!!!!! Was it, as brutally unforgiving as it looked?!! Let me know what it felt like going down the tubes and how it felt getting drenched at the end of it, thanks.
It was a pretty rough ride - I was most worried about the trap door drop at the start but then while in the tube it was hard to really tell which way was up. Of course then got totally soaked in splash down 👍👍🤣

Are all of the rides only accessible by stairs or are there ramps/elevator options? my son wants to go but he has a disability
Unfortunately most of the slides are accessed through a large structure via stairs. I'd reach out to the mall to see if there is anything they could suggest to accommodate individual needs.
@@ExitThrutheGiftShop Yeah I was afraid of that. It’s a shame they most likely don’t have accessible options. Most people with disabilities have no problem sliding down a Water tube. Thank you for your quick response. I will follow up with the park. 😊👍🏼

I wish! It was closed while we were there. Not sure if they only open seasonally or on weekends? The price seemed quite reasonable.

The Sky Screamer and Cyclone slides, the camera doesn't do it justice. It feels like you were kidnapped by a rich corporation and they put you in a machine where you free fall to your death from a skyscraper. Also the countdown restarts sometimes and goes "3. 3. 3." to make matters worse.
