This is what Led Zeppelin had in mind when they wrote the song.
Taking nothing from Anne Wilson’s powerful version at the Kennedy Center Honors a few years ago this version may lack Anne’s power but more then makes up for it in melodic beauty. This song either makes a singer shine their brightest or expose their flaws she and Anne shined. This ending I am in tears. Bravo.

Do we know who her back up singers are? I am so used to Marcela Bovio being next to her doing the harmony. I do wish Gentle Storm could be remade with Marcela. I adore Anneke singing that album but wonder what Marcela would do.

@@benbarclay5546 yes Stairway to Heaven was considered Occult. I recall in the 1970s nuns in my Catholic School calling it Satanic and pro suicide. Yeah we came a long way
Wish the sound was right on this. Is there a version off the board? This would've have been fab at the Kennedy Centre too. This orchestra has a great feel for the changes. Craving proper guitar and drums though. Anneke Rüles
I kind of like this raw version for viewing purposes, the echo feels more like you're in the room. But I agree, a proper recording of this would be awesome to have at home or in the car. If she ever did the Kennedy Centre, or any mainstream TV thing here, America would fall in love with Anneke immediately.

Everybody talking about sound, lyrics, but why didnt they play the song in proper tempo? 0.75 speed fixes it for me a bit. Hate when the song is played too fast (and it is not Slayer or Sepultura cover)
