I remember I had a GameCube and my cousin had only a PlayStation 2 and was envious that I got to play this game on the GameCube and later that year in 2005, my cousin was happy when the game was ported on PlayStation 2. The PlayStation 2 version is inferior to the GameCube version but I'm still happy that it existed for PlayStation 2 owners like my cousin who got to experience this gem.
I still remember the highschool days loosing my shit everytime i saw a new announcement trailer for this masterpiece, then played the hell out of it on GameCube, wonderful times.
I played RE 1 remake around 2015 for the first time and it stressed me out so bad I couldn’t even play it lol I hadn’t experienced anything like that before and love/hated every second of it :)
Man, trying to give directions on how to install ESR through Twitch chat was hectic as fuck but I'm glad it was worth it in the end. Glad to have been of service Max :)
yeah, so PS2 ports of Capcom GC games had worst performance but usually added extra content, also of course if you play the 1080p version of the game and then go back to the 360p version it's gonna look like ass, PS2 games look best on a CRT with a component cable
I agree with Max about Steve Burnside being the worst Resident Evil character of all time. He's my most hated character in all of video games. I like to call him Emo Jar-Jar because of how insufferably annoying he really is.
*STOP!* *Follow Me* *Wait!* *HIDE!* *LEEEOOONNN HAAAAAAAAALP!!!* Useless damnsel in distress, unless you put the armor costume on her. Also, *WWWELCOME, Strrraaangerrr* *Whaddya buyin?* *Whaddya sellin?* *Stranger, STRANGER! I'll buy that, at a HIGH price..* *Come back anytime...*
No point playing RE4 now and critiquing it. At the time it came out, the visuals were top notch, you couldn't even name a PC game that had anything in the same class. These were the days when consoles were actually relevant. In saying that, the PS2 did have awful image quality, I had this on the Gamecube and the look of the game was so much crisper and less murky, it's mud city up in here on this version.
Nothing more annoying than a bunch of dudes bitch so much about video game graphics to games in consoles that had technical limitations back then. You should appreciate what you had back then instead of moaning that it doesn't have super duper 4K hd resolution visuals that you get in today's modern games which all look the same and generic and barely have personality these days unless they're indie games that push for something different.

Wow you were right on the money with re8 and re4 remake coming out
I've actually had a PS2 fanboy argue with me that the PS2 version was visually IMPROVED over the GameCube original. Fanboys are inherently low IQ.
Lol
INCORRECT AS HELL MILLENNIAL

I just played it for the first time a few weeks ago as jill. I need to do the chris run

This was the version I played when I was 12 years old. The PS2 version is by far the worst in terms of graphics, sound and rendering.
The gamecube version is better.
Just my opinion
Max u and Simmons should do a RE retrospect before RE 3 Remake
Its actually one of the few PS2 games with Progressive Scan (480p) but I'm pretty sure they didn't activate it. Although it only helps so much.
You guys should make a Quick Look! at KOF Maximum Impact 2 or Regulation A
It is a very underrated game :)
Max needs to get the full complete save state for those games and do Rate the Costumes. The state of some of those costumes, mate.
@@krnxaja Mai has one of the best alternative costumes tbh.
I'm glad we have the PS4 version.
I got reeeeeaaaaaal worried hearing Simmons say my name like that from the other room. like "HOW IS SIMMONS IN MY HOUSE, OH GOD".
Oh yes....this is where leon become my Favorite RE character.
They should play Viewtiful Joe

I loved the playthough of RE 4 u did years ago

yup, he's the worst
The port that made Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya left Capcom.
You generally scared me with the second death lol
*STOP!*
*Follow Me*
*Wait!*
*HIDE!*
*LEEEOOONNN HAAAAAAAAALP!!!*
Useless damnsel in distress, unless you put the armor costume on her.
Also, *WWWELCOME, Strrraaangerrr*
*Whaddya buyin?*
*Whaddya sellin?*
*Stranger, STRANGER! I'll buy that, at a HIGH price..*
*Come back anytime...*
RE4 remake...Max is ready to die in that hill, huh? I'll take Code: Veronica remake any day, and make Steve not dumbass.
«I hate Steve» Max 2020
To be fair, looking at a game made what 16 years ago, on it's original hardware isnt going to impress anyone 🤣🤣
That's the problem this is not it's original hardware, that would be the Gamecube which looked and played way better.
Can y’all play dead space??? Thank you

This game aged so badly.
The PS2 version yeah. Thankfully the re4HD project is on it's way.
Just the PS2 version. Gamecube, Wii, PS3, 360, PS4 and XOne are good.
I absolutely did not remember re4 being this bad on ps2, holy shit
It looks and sounds terribad.
Lol
