I'd love to see a general walk through of your aftermarket accessories and how you have everything rigged. Maybe include some pros and cons with what, if anything, you might do differently. The 106 PDL doesn't get as much screen time as the bigger rigs. Thanks for the install vid.
My advice, from my experience with a 2016 Slayer Propel with the NK300 added. Of course, my rudder is under the kayak (just had to remove my aftermarket Boonedox rudder for the NK300 to be installed after adding a mount plate). As it turns out, the NK300 (even when not powered) provides as good a rudder as one would need when using the Propel drive. I would never mount a powerful motor off-center as you did due to potential power loss. I'm relocating the NK300 soon to my 2018 ATAK (which does not have a rudder). I'm expecting good things there, but hope to add a small 12 volt trolling motor for maneuvering. By the way, Newport stands totally behind their products. They replaced my 36v40ah battery with a new one after 6 months of having capacity issues. The new one seems to work great.
@@miamiwax5504 kind of, mounting plate keeps it away but what it boiled down to was the strings for rhe rudder not tight enough to keep it in position when in operation.
@@Halfmoonfishingthis was my question also. People are recommending the 180 pro for my PDL 120. But my thoughts were to get the 300 and just run at lower power if it was to much on the steering at higher powers. You’re the first Ives seen put a 300 on an 106. Are you going to make a video showing the handling?
@@saltyguerrilla ill try to but the handling is bad with these kayaks because my rudder interferes with the prop at full lock and ive tried different tilt settings and no luck. Really just made to go in a straight line and turn at slow speeds at least for the pdl 106
How can I contact you? All my motors and boats are the same. I want to know where I bought the black board. The black board between the motor and the boat, or did you make it yourself? I can't find it online. Bloggers please contact me
Great work thanks 😎

Nick is a cool guy, He called me back at night to answer a question
Hello, please tell me where to buy the black bracket board Thank you 🙏
Navvare Kayak Fishing
What clip are you using to clip to your yak hobby clip on the seat. I really like that set up. No drilling and seems more secure than a cleat
The clip came with the Newport NK300. But I am sure you can pick one up at your local hardware store
has he updated the new plate for the motor yet?
Yes he has
great video. You shoud do an updated video of you usinf the yak in the water
How is the steering with the stock rudder?
Not sure i switched it out to a metal one for Navvare like the first week of owning my kayak. Handles pretty good though

@@Halfmoonfishing oh got ya! So you haven’t got the new Navarre plate that he made to push it over more?
Was Navarre able to adjust the mount to keep it from getting stuck?
Yes! Its been fixed any future orders placed with them will have the clearance 🤙🏼
@@Halfmoonfishing good to know, thank you.
How tall are the risers on your seat?
I believe they are 3 or 4”, the biggest size YakAttack makes
