Sissu near Manali in Himachal Pradesh finally has a comfortable Zostel experience to offer all visitors! Winter in Lahaul comes with a bounty of snow and a completely different lifestyle. In this video, we take you through the challenges and beauty of living in Sissu during the winter months, where snowfall is frequent, temperatures are negative, but the spirits are always high.
While we were in Sissu, a small Himachali village at the onset of the Lahaul region, both the Sissu waterfall and Sissu lake had frozen out. At nighttime, the temperature would drop to -14C and we were lucky enough to also catch the snowfall. Despite the hardship, it is always warm indoors, thanks to the traditional tandoors, hearty meals, and room heaters.

Definitely very hard shooting in these conditions but hard work pays off.
