I think it’s a great idea but I don’t want it to be downloaded straight into my mods folder because I like how I have it organized. Still a great tool, especially for simmers new to mods and cc.
everytime I put cc in my mods folder cc does not get in my game WHY UTS MEAN A WEEK AND ALL I DO EVERYFAY IS LOOK FOR WEBSITES AND HELP BUT IT DOSENT WORKKKKK

@@fairylixmake sure to go into settings/options and go inti game options. Turn on mods and stuff

my best friend has ALWAYS wanted mods, and i took it into my own hands to find her an easy way to get them. I stumbled across curseforge from an ad, and said ‘this’ll work!’ and downloaded… AND IT WORKED!

I've been using curseforge for a while for minecraft, it's so safe and easy! Glad they're adding Sims 4 to it, though it's not showing up that's Sims 4 is downloaded for me.

Curse forge app makes mods so much easier to download over the website and I love downloading through the app.
I can't use the app, putting the cc directly in Mods is a dealbreaker for me. I keep my script mods in "Mods" and also put new cc in my "New CC" folder within the Mods folder. Gonna mess up my whole CC organization if they put it directly in mods 😣

But I tried it twice, installed the app, put it down and installed it again, even logged in through Twitch. It doesn't matter what I try. It won't install anything. 🤷♀
And I'm really not happy about installing it immeditaley. I have a strict organization.
But the app not working is of course not your fault. Thanks to you I had at least the chance to understand and try it. 😁😉
Have you checked your games mod folder? That's where they should all install automatically
i feel like downloading CC thru curse forge is sooo much easier cz it instantly goes to mods and u dont even have to conver it so its just much simplier

Sims medieval!!! It was actually a pretty well thought out spinoff
so i know some people dont have the orange install Button and i had the same problem,so how you fix it is you find the mod you want you click on it and then click on the 3dots at the top (not the ones next to the mod) and you should see "scan computer for games" and after it scanned you should be able to install it.

Hey y’all just checking if you guys are aware of the recent sims 4 update. This update does make a barrier across Cc specifically from Curseforge comment down any questions if you didn’t know this and Want to know how to download mods with this update being processed.
everytime I put cc ( it's a package file) in my mods folder my sims 4 does not show ANY and I mean ANY cc

You should be able to have it scan. It should bring up all your cc and the sims you have made

Curseforge is easy to download and u dont have to put lots of cc to ur mods folder so i definitely recommend curseforge
Half of them won't show up for me to download them on my computer, but they will on my phone. Then, only the cas and bb stuff shows, not any gameplay. It's so annoying. I was super excited.
okay imo its much better than tsr! im firstly gonna delete all tsr mods i installed and replace them with curseforge mods ;)

I have no problem downloading through safari from the website, but I have the app downloaded and I can’t find Sims 4.. idk what I’m doing wrong.
I have an issue that the game keeps disabling the mods and custom content options every time I restart the game so I do not know how to fix this issue :/

Man, where was this in 2015 when I was downloading horrible viruses onto my laptop because I wanted CC and Mods, but everyone used skechy websites?
I love curseforge for mods in WOW, it's so easy to keep them up to date, and it's great to know that CC can be downloaded and updated for SIms from there now too!

curious how the updates work if you organize the files into your own folders..does the update just download to the general Mods folder and you have to organize again and replace the files?
it goes directly into my mods
but it does not show in the game

Guys be careful these mods can break the game and you will lose all progress, so make sure you are careful!!

I've tried curseforge 3 different times & the cc never showed up in my Sims 4 game. I'm watching all the tutorials I can to see if maybe I did something wrong. Also curseforge would just keep refreshing & not stop.
for me, it showed I have them in scripted mods but they wouldn’t show in-game?
So i have a question. SO i currently play sims4 through the EA application and also have allot of CC downloaded. I Downloaded curseforge and for some reason none of my content appears at all. DO I have to manually upload it to Curseforge and if so how? Because I was thinking maybe I needed to actually download the sims4 game instead of having it go through the EA account. Also, When I tried to search for content on the Curseforge, it will only show about 3 items and that's it. Please help. I have allot of broken content and wish to get them out of my folder. THank uu.
What happens to the existing mods in my mods folder?
It won’t effect your existing mods so you will be fine
Not sure if you may know anything about this…. But my girlfriend has just gotten CursedForge for Sims 4 & they are having some trouble. She can download and install building CC but in game it doesn’t show up. Do you have any solutions? Thanks!

Well! It usually fixes after a few days for me atleast! you can try scanning a folder that continues the application of the sims 4!

So for people using another version of the sims 4 in a different language, curseforge might not work. For me since i'm french, in my files the base game is "Les Sims 4" while the mods are put in a new created folder called "The Sims 4" so it doesn't load the mods in game. This is pretty stupid sinced i can't change the path in the settings of curseforge...

For some reason, after transferring over to the EA app and reinstalling ts4 from there, curseforge does not recognize that I have ts4 installed on my computer and won’t work properly 🥲🥲🥲 apparently curseforge only recognizes if it’s downloaded from origin or steam 🙃

It can be bad if let say you have a hair that is broken if you have them organized it is going to be easier to find witch one is causing something to go wrong in your game
