I think smelting the nether gold Ores is consistently more gold, as they will always give 1 ingot or 9 nuggets, but you can, however unlikely, get more from fortune if you get lucky

@@seangoggans7091 Nah, on average fortune 3 gives a fraction below 9 nuggets, while silk touch consistently gives the equivalent of 9, so silk touch is slightly better at a larger scale
i did a test i mied 24 nether gold ore with a fortine pickaxe and a silk touch pickaxe 3 different times for each pickaxe and every time i got more gold with the fortune
@@aidendeans5569 look it up, the math does state that on average fortune gives about 8.8 nuggets (I think), while silk touch gives the equivalent of 9

Love it! Because of 1.19 you need to add another 14 layered roof on each side and will become waaaaaay faster!

@@roman0448 prob he meant maybe if the farm had more 14 blocks each direction in the roof, there would have a better rates of spawning since that in 1.19, now mobs spawn on 0 light

15:27 You get 8.8 gold nuggets avg per nether gold ore when mining with fortune III, vs a gold ingot (=9 nuggets) if you mine with silk touch. so its really a question of fuel. If fuel is scarce, mining is better, if fuel is abundant smelting is better :)

15:31 sometimes, you can get more ingots with a fortune 3 but it's very rare so just smelt them. It's better because you take risks of loosing 1 or 2 ingots and it gives xp

Smelting nether gold ore is a better return. A single ore will give you one ingot, if smelted, and an average drop of 8 nuggets if mined with a max fortune pickaxe, but a max possible drop of 24, which is very rare.

something i always like to do with those farms that i dont ever see is alternate the water in them. so 50% flushes every time the redstone goes off

If you smelt the silk touched gold it will always give you an ingot so smelting is way more useful

one thing id recommend use dried kelp blocks for smelting a basic small kelp farm can produce 40 kelp blocks as well as cover the kelp to cook its self and kelp grows quick

Biggest recommendation, find a pillager outpost for a raid farm, so many times you coulda died! Totems are a necessity.
IIRC, going through it back when 1.16 came out, the difference between smelting and fortune-ing is on average like +1-2 nugget/s in the long run for the gold ore.
there is some real slick math going over mean distributions and what not (that I can't ever remember off the top of my head). basically, aside from being easier just to take the ore and smelting it, the actual number is a marginal improvement. so it doesn't really matter.
You really should smelt them as when you smelt those you get a whole ingot instead of nuggets.

Ideas for your gallery, first mobhead dropped form a charged creeper and first music disc dropped by a creeper shot by a skeleton.
Perhaps also some of the new music discs that are difficult to find.

To be honest I built this in the first season om my minecraft series and it wasnt even worth it because it was such a pain to build it, but here you are and just having this farm that actually works lol!

For making all that glass and for the future, I recommend turning your coal into blocks of coal. 1 block can be used for 100 items in a furnace. :) thanks for the idea on a huge mob farm!

The mob elevator is just big Brian because you can apply the looting effect to the mob drops
Technoblade used to say that on average you get 8.3 or something like that nuggets with fortune 3 and obviously you get a full ingot from smelting the full block so its slightly more efficient to just smelt them. But I haven't done the math just took his word for it.
For a more efficient farm extend the mod farm roof by 7 slabs on each side
Nether gold ore: Average 8.8 nuggets per ore with fortune 3. so you'll get very close to 64 ingots from a stack most of the time. though you can get up to 24 nuggets so sometimes you can get way more. and sometimes far less. Its a gamble, but a fun one with little consequence
Your first elytra would be another great adition. Extra points if it's a broken elytra
Your first wooden and stone pickaxe should also be displayed but it probably gone now hahaha. Maybe your first elytra too
You should have your first wither skull in the museum as well
Feels kinda weird that the bucket gets filled mid montage at 2:11 xD
there are 1-3 ancient debris per chunk at y=15, so just mine in a chunk for the 1-3 vein and move on dont waste tnt
Next episode you'll have shulker boxes but remember that in 1.19 chest boats now exist, so you can carry more with you

good content, i enjoy it, also idk if either is better, but i do know that usually u get 8-10 nuggets from fortune, personally i'd take the safer route which is smelting it
you should put your first elytra in the hall of fame for your items.
smelting nether gold ores give an ingot which is 9 nuggets. but the fortune method usually give 8 nuggets at best luck i think. so smelting it with a blast furnace is worth it.
15:20 dont smelt it but look for a trader goblin in the nether it will give you 5 nether scraps for 4 ancient debris it would have made you 55 scraps instead of 44
This might be counter productive, but putting your first Totem of Undying and perhaps your first Elytra in the trophy room would be kind of cool 😁😁
Every mob head would fit into the gallery room that would be perfect and it should be the first you had obtained

A faster way of enchanting is to use books and give them level 1 enchants instead of enchanting armour/tools with level 3 enchants when they don't show a good one. Just enchant a book, look what the armour can be enchanted with, and repeat. You can grindstone the books to keep doing it

I use the same mob farm design for a long time but I let spiders spawn and transport them to another place to kill them using campfires. Because they cant fall into one block they pass the falling part and go to another place. (I hope you can understand my design)

About enchanting... If you just have your enchanting table at level 26 or 28 it will give you the best enchantments, I did and I got Fortune III, Efficiency V and unbreaking III.
