Denver got their wake up call tonight. Wolves are legit. You can't come out flat like you did against Lakers and 'make it up later'.
They made it up right away, took the lead in the 1st and at half. Just a bad defensive 2nd half. Murray is not healthy and it’s impacting the whole offense. Reggie is going to have to step up.

To be honest now it's on the coaching staff right now to figure out how to play these pieces that they have and how to fuel the energy in this team. Because right now it just seems like Minnesota wanted it way more.

Sometimes a loss is a good thing. I expect the nuggets to play much better next game and rest of the series.
I think the extra rest caused them to lose a little of their focus. And maybe a bit over confident after another near sweep of the mighty lakers, with all of the big comeback wins. They are not going to be able to rest and count on being able to roar back for a last second win with this team. They have to be ready to play 4 quarters this time, or it will be time to go home.

Green too old, and they couldn't keep Brown anyway, unfortunately. Never mind, those guys on the bench are really talented and need to get some playing minutes and develop. The Nuggets will be fine, they played badly most of the time and yet lost only by 7.

52%, the Wolves actual shooting percentage for the game, is a much better reflection of how the Wolves actually shot. Just a little better than season average
This is why Jokic is always a great presser. He knows basketball and has great answers to questions, not to mention still can crack a joke in a loss.
People are getting a quality show in this playoff series. Both teams are good and were neck to neck all the season in the standings. I want Denver to win, but I won't be upset if Minnesota wins. I just like a hard fought game.

After all the 3 point and the small ball revolution, it's kind of refreshing watching a team like the Wolves depend on their suffocating defence and their size. This is going to be a very interesting series between probably the best two teams currently.

The bench played fine though. The only difference was 8 points between the wolves and the nuggets. The problem is their starting flat every game and their shots aren’t falling when they need to. Energy needs to turn up way more
This is exactly what they get for not showing up at the end of the season getting the number 1 seed in the playoffs. They have to play a full game something they haven’t done for awhile now.

I hope Malone adjusts. We need another rim protector, and sometimes DJ plays good minutes. It's worth the gamble. Both Murray and Reggie run a great drop pick and roll with him too that can separate the defense and pull Gobert from the rim. I don't know why everyone's freaking out. It was one game that stayed competitive for most of the game. Wolves have a bunch of offensive threats, Jamal had his worst postseason game ever, and it's just a lot that can be learned from.

They need Bruce Brown and Jeff Green. The lack of a bench is going to hurt them against the Twolves. Not having a healthy Murray is really hurting them too. It's going to be the biggest challenge they've had yet. Jokic s greatness is going to have to show through to beat this team. I'm not ready to give up on them yet. They are going to have to go to a level they've never played at to beat this team. I don't know if the Celtics can even beat the Twolves. They don't take games off like the Celtics.

No disrespect against Jamal or maybe it is, but the Nuggets don't need him to win. If he's not a 100%, there's little reason to have him on the floor as a partial player. The Nuggets pass game tends to improve when he's not on the floor as well and Jokic, Gordons and MPJ can pick up the difference. And as it's been Jamal has potentially done more harm than good being on the floor in every game thus far (he hit 2 shot winners, but they likely wouldn't have needed those in the first place). When people make the comment that Jokic and Murray are the best duo, I don't see it. I think Jokic is great for Murray but I don't think Murray is good for Jokic. Those two don't gel. And Murray takes away the pass game from the Nuggets.
