I hope everyone who uses Bondi beach respect how the lifeguards put themselves at risk, and the effort and hardwork they put in to save thousands of lives each year. Especially saving lives of idiots that don't heed warning signs.
My ex’s daughter had that allergy. We had to watch her in the snow, in the pool even on a hot day. She used to get hives likes she was covered in bee stings. Pretty terrifying!
I’ve watched every episode every season. Something needs to be done to teach foreigners how dangerous the beach is before they come. This is ridiculous. Surely there is a way to do this.
When we were younger, my brother dislocated his shoulder from a huge wipeout while kneeboarding. I was so freaked out and he was just like this guy, just told our dad how to pop it back in and he was completely fine once it was back in. Dude's an absolute beast
I am literally regretting not actually going to meet any of the lifeguards at Bondi when I went there the one time in my life. Glad I can say I’ve been on the beautiful Bondi beach but I didn’t go into the water
"Omg I'm scared now" proceeded to smile and giggle... I understand it can be a genuine response for some people but it doesn't make it any less irksome. I hope she at least followed him to the hospital.
Imagine your heart rate sitting at those high levels ALL day... welcome to my life: and the WONDEROUS JOYS of tachycardia.. I've been resting at around 220bpm.. if you have anyone in your life that deal with tachycardia, it can be hard to understand. So here is the best example I can give as someone who deals with it! Xoxo
@@breezybee3774 no, I just went to the ER for it yesterday. Thats the 3rd time since March I get it off and on but not that high. It started from a reaction to the vaccine. My doctor just gave me pills in which I don't trust as he has prescribed me medication not for my height and weight before lately. I just switched doctors and will be asking for a referral to see a cardiologist.
@@adrianaolvera9166 I would definitely ask for the cardiologist referral, but definitely look into postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome or dysautonomia. It's usually caused by vagus nerve damage (actually a lot of people have been found to have it after covid infection. But it's all connected to the vagus nerve, which can be damaged/affected by many things. Especially if you have comorbidities (which I do, I have all of them and many other illnesses connected to it and caused by it cause mines pretty severe. I have a feeding tube, my blood pressure and heart rate don't regulate like a "normal" person. But I'm pretty advanced on the scale of damage. ) If you can look up how to do a poor man's tilt table test. Its Basically where you lay down for 5 min, take blood pressure and heart rate laying, then situp and take it asap, (is your heart rate higher after you sit up? Did your blood pressure drop or stay stable) then sit for 5 mins, stand then take it (did it fluctuate) and then take I again after standing for 5. In average people it all stays the same, with pots or dysautonomia it will fluctuate
@@adrianaolvera9166 hopefully its "just" tachycardia. I'm sorry if it's a rough/scary time right now. You'll get to the bottom of it and find things that help, I'm sure of it
Dude with the dislocated shoulder has hypermobility. If it's happened multiple times before and he's able to put it back in, it's hypermobility. I've got it, too. My jaw is the most common joint I fully locate, and I confidently put it back in, it's just faster and easier. Yes, it's painful, but not nearly as painful as it is for people who aren't hypermobile. You get used to it.
Not always. Once a joint gets a habit of coming out it continues to do so as the ligaments are shot. My wife has a knee that does this but nothing else.
"Guys let's swim over that side no one is over that way." I'm guessing it what a lot of tourists are thinking before they get told to get out or saved from the rips.
I am so amazed by the information from the km & heart rates. That was awesome. You already know that the lifeguards' have a very physically and mentally (sometimes even emotionally) exhausting occupation but seeing the numbers just renews your respect for this superheroes.
Regarding the guy with the dislocated shoulder i really think he has something called Ehler's Danlos Syndrome which, among many other things, often causes people to dislocate much more easily than usual (someone dislocating just from throwing a ball in combination with him saying himself it's happened before and just the generally casualness of his reaction is what makes me think this). If so, he'll have pretty regular experience of popping his joints back into place.
I hate overcrowded places like that. Going there is definitely not on my list. Beautiful water though. It's amazing how they can even spot people in distress with so much going on. Great training.
Came to the same conclusion with the cold water guy. Only thing I could think of when he mentioned the cold. Also wondering if the dislocation guy had something too, like EDS or another condition that causes frequent dislocations. What a day for odd conditions.
My daughter has this allergic reaction...she goes red and purple and her muscles stiffen up. It is called Urticaria. Cold and stress causes this in her but thankfully it hasn't become as serious that she has had anaphylaxis... Well done to the team!
Urticaria is the medical term for hives (itchy skin). Muscle stiffness is a completely different symptom (it’s not a part of urticaria). That they occur together is certainly concerning, as you need to find out what the root cause is.
It would be wild to see a visual on how the guard in the tower eyes monitor the beach, they already tracked their heart rate and distance. But it would be insane to see the other perspective. Not that it would be as plausible. But still would be really neat.
I’ve been obsessed with this show since I was a little kid and I remember one day we got to go to Bondi from WA and I had to watch my brother swim while I sat on the sand because I had and infection and wasn’t allowed to swim so I just spend the day watching the water pretending I was a lifeguard or hoping to see a rescue but I didn’t
I have the "allergy" to the cold. it is cold urticaria. found out after playing American football and entering an ice bath (feet only) and my entire foot swelled up and began to feel like it was burning
My aunt has an allergy to cold as well, which is why she no longer spends winters in Canada. She doesn't even return home for Christmas with the family anymore. She leaves a little after Canadian Thanksgiving (early October) & returns late march/early april. So I understand why the cold water caused Matt to get hives so badly, when he didn't know of his allergic reaction. Great on Deano for thinking of his former girlfriend's allergy.
The dislocated shoulder guy knows how to do it by himself. That happened to me over 30 times on my right shoulder just in one year and around 10 times on my left shoulder in total. Got surgery on the right shoulder ten years ago.
I am so grateful you go above and beyond than normal drs in hospital. We all love you for being you. You are the real superman the real angels. Keep being you don’t change. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@tripsupstairs yup so true!! I’m an excellent swimmer but I’m from Canada what the hell do I know about Bondi beach and its water? Nothing! Therefore I would stay close very close to shore.
ive never swam in the ocean ever...seen it only as an infant....im now 43. im a great swimmer in lakes, pools etc. but ive gathered that swimming in the ocean would be different but never experienced it first hand.
I’m Aussie and although I know how to swim (been taught since I was a child, and I have a pool at home), I never go into deep ocean water. Anything above my waist in the ocean is a no. Nothing is more scary than that feeling of having lost control. I almost drowned in a wave pool when I was younger and despite putting my hand up the lifeguard didn’t see me. It was another swimmer who saw me and my brother and got us out.
17:06 This was the moment I instantly realized that the drunk friend was at his car. The lifeguard should have asked if they had actually checked the car.
It can happen because of heat as well. It's more like an allergy/autoimmune response to cold or hot temperature than water specifically. Cold and heat urticaria. Anaphylaxis is rare, usually it's just hives.
My sister has this same allergy. We are from Canada and as a kid if she came into contact with snow on her bare skin she would get massive welts and hives. We always had to make sure her mittens were tucked into her coat sleeves as the most common place she would touch the snow were her wrists. She would either be in a snowsuit or coat and ski pants to protect her if we played outside in winter. Fortunately, her allergy lessened as she got older and it was never as bad as going into full anaphylaxis like this young man.
I enjoy this show very much very educational and fun to watch. I'm glad they have the green whistle for pain. I wonder whats in it im glad no many people have an allergy to it which is great.

Crazily crowded!!😲
it's probably the show attracting people as well as the tourist adverts
great waves.big beach. not everyone's an introvert
Exactly how I feel living on Oahu. We like to keep our tourists at Waikiki beach or Koolina

okay i am in love with this show, but when something’s dislocated I cannot anymore 💀
Pretty brutal hey 😬

Same. I had to look away lol
@@BondiRescue I thought you couldn't give the Green Whistle unless they went to the hospital.

The highest that my heart rate has been that I’ve read on myself is 191. I wasn’t moving, it was all from a panic attack. It was terrifying!!
im 13 and my heart rate gets up to 180 while resting everyday. might be from my epilepsy or possible my low WBC count? idk tho I thought that was normal :l

@@blumensekte ASMR makes me angry. Haha! I go for comedic things.
Everytime I watch this episode again and I see the girlfriend saying "Oh I thought he was joking, so I ignored him

I'm feel a little mean for saying so, but dang some things should just be taken seriously, grow up girl. As always it's fantastic to watch the wonderful work the guys and girls really go out and protect and care for the visitors at Bondi Beach. Which is why I'm so totally addicted to watching the show!

When someone says they are going to faint. You NEED TO BELIEVE THEM. Especially with a medical condition like asthma...
I faint or black out alllllll the time, it's terrible and definitely should be taken seriously
Fair play to the life guards risking their lives everyday.
I hope everyone who uses Bondi beach respect how the lifeguards put themselves at risk, and the effort and hardwork they put in to save thousands of lives each year. Especially saving lives of idiots that don't heed warning signs.
Thank all of you guys for all of the rescues and helping these families, you guys please be safe and take care.
My ex’s daughter had that allergy. We had to watch her in the snow, in the pool even on a hot day. She used to get hives likes she was covered in bee stings. Pretty terrifying!
Wow!!! Matt just saved his own life, with his last remaining energy, getting to the lifeguards HQ.
I’ve watched every episode every season. Something needs to be done to teach foreigners how dangerous the beach is before they come. This is ridiculous. Surely there is a way to do this.
Do it at the airports I say!
Educating yourself is an option you know
They don't seem to at all though. And a lot cannot even swim.
My heart rate goes up just watching these rescues!
"Omg I'm scared now" proceeded to smile and giggle... I understand it can be a genuine response for some people but it doesn't make it any less irksome. I hope she at least followed him to the hospital.
Lifeguards are so amazing, they have my deepest respect!
I had a really awesome opportunity to meet the crew at bondi it’s a moment I won’t forget
Xoxo
Thats me currently, highest has been 162, healthy otherwise 28, they say its weird how it comes so randomly for me.
@@adrianaolvera9166 have they looked into POTS or dysautonomia? That's what my diagnosis is and it's really hard to diagnose
But I'm pretty advanced on the scale of damage. )
If you can look up how to do a poor man's tilt table test.
I have hypermobility as well and it's super annoying.
"Guys let's swim over that side no one is over that way." I'm guessing it what a lot of tourists are thinking before they get told to get out or saved from the rips.
I'm a New Zealander, and I've never been to Auz, I'd love to though. I love watching this show, these guys are nothing short of heroic😊❤
Omgggg raise his feet above the level of his heart and head!!!!!!! As someone who faints it urks me when medical personnel don’t know this
45 rescues in one day!? Idk how they do it seriously incredible!!
Of course their heart rates skyrocketed these men actually care about the beach and beach goers
I love these life guards, every time they post it makes my day :).
If we had lifeguards like this I’d go to a beach feeling super safe
I am from America and all I can say is God Bless You Brave Men and Women who save lives ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Came to the same conclusion with the cold water guy. Only thing I could think of when he mentioned the cold. Also wondering if the dislocation guy had something too, like EDS or another condition that causes frequent dislocations. What a day for odd conditions.
Cold water guy has cold urticaria, I have it too. It’s shitty and annoying.
Apparently we are having a gathering of us in this episode!
That Irish bloke was so humble, it was clear he felt so terrible what a good dude
I can’t stop watching Bondi videos, been watching it on tv since it released and once you watch one you gotta watch em all
My daughter has this allergic reaction...she goes red and purple and her muscles stiffen up.
These guys are top blokes thank you for keeping Bondi safe
I’ve been obsessed with this show since I was a little kid and I remember one day we got to go to Bondi from WA and I had to watch my brother swim while I sat on the sand because I had and infection and wasn’t allowed to swim so I just spend the day watching the water pretending I was a lifeguard or hoping to see a rescue but I didn’t
I just pray that man's still alive.
17:20 y’all waited an hour?! What type of friends are y’all? You should not have let him go into the water if he was that drunk! 😯
Can I just have that Irish guy narrate my life from now on? His accent is glorious

All jokes aside its amazing how many people dont know how to swim in the ocean
Because a great deal of the people on the beach are tourists. They haven’t a clue what a riptide is.
@@tripsupstairs yup so true!! I’m an excellent swimmer but I’m from Canada what the hell do I know about Bondi beach and its water? Nothing! Therefore I would stay close very close to shore.
Not really. Most people don’t live by the ocean.
ive never swam in the ocean ever...seen it only as an infant....im now 43. im a great swimmer in lakes, pools etc. but ive gathered that swimming in the ocean would be different but never experienced it first hand.
I hope these lifeguards get paid well.
The average for a lifeguard in Sydney is $30 an hr. Honestly too little, I’m a STUDENT and I get paid $30 an hour lol (also in Sydney).
17:06 This was the moment I instantly realized that the drunk friend was at his car. The lifeguard should have asked if they had actually checked the car.

Allergic to cold water, that's blown my mind, I have never hear of that before
It can happen because of heat as well.
