Though this is lovely, and touching, JK sings "Der Neugierige" even better in the performance recorded on his CD of Die Schone Mullerin, and also did in the Liederabend in Munchen on July 20, 2015.
Was Helmut Deutsch playing the piano, on this occasion?

I almost started crying-almost! Better than Wunderlich, in my opinion. Kaufmann is perhaps more operatic than Wunderlich, but a more moving performance. Thank you Jonas!

That's his problem. He is over dramatic. IMHO lieder should be rendered in a more introvert manner. That way they are even more moving.
