As a little child, seeing dad playing MG on PSX, I was like believing that dad is Snake somehow. This song always reminds me of him. No matter how much time will go by, this and the Metal Gear Solid series as a whole will forever be legendary as one of the best video game series ever. Nothing can nor will be as legendary in the same way as Metal Gear Solid was and is.
All them are equal to each other. MGS1 - Amazing story and great set up for some badass characters MGS2 - Great ideas and fun gameplay MGS3 - Amazing characters, brilliant gameplay and amazing way to show Big Boss' origins MGS4 - An absolutely fantastic way to conclude Snake's story with fun gameplay, deep ideas, meaningful characters and perfect story.

Is it just me or does the mgs franchise have one of the saddest overall storylines of any game series? Especially Big Boss' story. Having to kill his mentor who he saw as a mother, being accused of betraying his country, [haven't played peace walker], losing everything he worked for, [waiting for phantom pain], "killed" by his own son/clone and eventually dying after being kept both alive and dead by nanomachines back where he ended after Snake eater.
Quick Feet Assassin Confused Demon Gaming is right, you should play Peace Walker.. Not just for the story but for the experience of having a Mother Base... And Fulton System of course!
Every time I hear this song, I just want to cry. No matter what form of the song, piano or not, the song just brings so much emotion to me. I can't tell if it's the nostalgia or the emotion portrayed in the games, but I can't help but to choke back tears. On a side note, the visuals in the background definitely did it, I might cry, definitely.
