so much more to this band than just Hocus Pocus...that's not even the tip of the iceberg. If you don't have the album "Moving Waves"...check it out. Music that is this well-performed will never die; it will live forever.
They still perform and Thijs van Leer is a world-class flutist.
Gladys Knight (singer with the Pips), is the lady that introduced Focus.

The only standing ovation in that programme's history and I saw this Dutch Band in South East London just over 50 years ago😀
The studio version was really quite the thing back in the day. You heard it blaring out of cars with 8 track cassettes all over town.
The host is Gladys Knight before she ever met the Pips.

Gladys Knight and The Pips were together as a band from 1952 to 1989 (started off as The Pips until they changed it in 1962 to give Gladys top billing).

God I love the 70s music.
There was no limits or boundaries with the rock and roll of the era.
No Boundaries of instruments or techniques or genres. If it sounded good and expressed what you want to express you did it.
Blues, Funk, Motown, jazz, heavy metal, folk, country. There was simply no limits.
Instruments could be traditional Rock instruments or bagpipes, cello, choirs, flutes Etc.
There will never be an era of music like the 70s was.
I feel the same way about the 90s! I guess we from different generations

the other songs on the record there's less foolishness and it's quite good - the record Iwe had at home was "Focus Live at The Rainbow"
Having the chance to participate and being part of such a live moment must be bone shaking good. Having to stay sitting on a chair in a TV show must be violation 🤣 This is a piece of music I explode listening.
