Puskas came back from a 2 year ban, to reach the summit of the football world at Real Madrid.
Maradona endured violent defenders in Spain (broke his ankle against Bilbao, then started a massive brawl at their meeting in the Copa Del Rey final), then went to Napoli and brought them to their first, and only 2 league titles.
Ronaldo came back from multiple career threatening injuries and surgery, being nowhere near as fast as he used to - reached another world cup final, and WON.

@@ezefinkielman4672 I was mostly thinking of amazing "comeback" stories from some of the goats - mostly in terms of being kept out by injuries (or Puskas amazing return, I haven't heard anything like it).
The closest I can think of is Cruyff playing on, after his family was kidnapped - or his badass revenge against Ajax, moving to Feyenoord at age 37(?) then winning the league with them, after Ajax told him he was "too old".
Pelé's career was sooo bizarre, compared to most, since he was arguably THE first "football star". Would anyone in their right mind ditch their national league today, to play exhibition matches in other continents? That's how much they were willing to pay Santos in the 60's.
But I can't think of a Pelé (or Di Stefano) "comeback story", beyond Pelé winning the world cup in 1970, after losing in 66 and getting injured in 62. Do enlighten me :)

Ronaldo is such a legend 😃🤩🤩🤩🤩. Any player can do a step over but you rarely ever see them do it during a 1 on 1 situation against the keeper but he did it so many times. What makes him a great player is not just talent but that smart brain in a footballing context to know when to use a particular skill in his arsenal. Most players would have just tried to shoot past the keeper, he creates an opportunity to pass the ball into an empty net 🧠.
    That's why he's a legend & some strikers can barely score 15 goals a season 👏🏿
