Excellent tying tutorial Tom! I especially liked the noodle to help hold the dumbbell eyes on - where you want them to stay!!!!
Ah, Lou Tabory.... one of the greatest Stripper Fly guys of all time! Enjoyed your presentation of this pattern. Thanks.
This is a sleeper. I’ve started using this in place of a clouser or jiggy fly when I’m wanted bigger and fuller profile presentations, like for mullet, almost exclusively when I want that jigging clouser effect. What’s not to love? It makes use of more of your craft fur, it’s easy with the composite loop to get the exact effects you want, sinks quickly, casts well, and looks great when fished.
Well done
Excellent teaching video Tim as well as a geat looking pattern. A lot of crafty techniques. Thanks!
Awesome! Living in Florida, 100% of my fishing is on the fly and 75% of that is in the surf or ICW. The balance of my fly fishing is in a flats boat.
Thank you for the great tutorial !!
Tim we're only mere morals, great fly, I'll give it a try with my young fellow, looks like an excellent sea fly for sure, excellent video as always!

Verdict in ...5 small mouth netted on this fly ....tied up a couple of these hucked them with the 7 wt. Very fun !!
Probably works great for sea trout! Great video!
Man, your hands have begun to show your experience. Congratulations, I’ve been told that’s a privilege.
Another great fly! Was a bit surprised you didn’t use wax on the dubbing loop.
Awesome fly
