- 6 Ways The Rank 1 Wolverine Proved EVERYBODY Wrong In Marvel Rivals - it's no doubt that Teamcaptain has helped prove everybody wrong, and here is a look at why Wolverine can be S Tier in the right hands. #marvelrivals credit to @TeamCaptain001
Damn this editing is wild, keep up the good work I was hooked from start to finish. I will be following this channel closely
yeah I must say this channel's editing jumped from A to S tier recently
That's what years of a healthy Apex Legends channel will bring to the table once the viewership ramps up. Well deserved, Merchant ❤
@ you know, I didn’t even know he made other content besides Marvel Rivas. Thats the main game I’m here for however yeah I can agree with you
#LOGANG
next level glazing
Necros saying is a awful hero then next day making a "pro" guide is savage fr 😭
Because people want the views before they do the research 😂 I got 23 downs with him.
If savage means lack of morality and respect towards teamcaptain then sure bub
@@SureBub hello teamcaptain alt account, respect to logang.
@ wrong but yes Logang is in effect
@@SureBub how is saying wolverine is a bad character disrespectful towards him, taking it too deep
My biggest tip is stop trying to secure every kill and learn to leave. And the rampage is your dash/jump.
And you can just leap to rampage to undying to ult
this goes the same big time for iron fist with anywhere outside noob lobbies
Giving him a bigger hitbox on his feral heap for a lower skill floor would be amazing for him
Right!!! There’s so many times where I can’t get closer to the enemy because our characters body’s are literally touching but it won’t hit and then I die because of the games poor hitbox registration
It would also make him too strong in my opinion; lowering skill floor for a potentially incredibly high impact hero means his impact is (nearly) guaranteed. There have to be some balancing tradeoffs, which for him is execution. I think he’s in a good spot!
If I were to buff Wolverine, I think I'd make two changes.
1: A passive healing factor that's active out of combat for sustainability.
2: A speed boost that scales with rage.
A SPEED boost!?!? That's a terrible idea. You can't be having heroes get stronger AND faster at the same time, come on now.
I'm on board with some passive healing though. Every hero should have that tbh.
@DjNaste
Wolverine is literally the only hero in the game with no ranged attack. He needs a reliable way to catch up that isn't constantly on cooldown
Nah a speed boost is a good idea. 👍 it would fit his kit and fantasy very well. Without harming the game. It would only be a new positive.
A nice change would be give his leap 2 charges, that reset on kills. I would give him a in and out + a passive healing factor, that could scale on his rage.
I agree. A speed boost would be too strong
I maxed prestiged wolverine a few days ago. Wolverine is very very hard to get into. Eventually you’ll learn when to use feral leap. But you have to get into a groove. Not to mention you need a healer that understands your role. You can be put on the front lines, but you’re just gonna target tanks, and sometimes medics. Killing more than one person at a time should not be your expectation. But it can happen.
We were all wrong... nah you content creators just echo chambered
Nah, Wolverine is good.
To begin with, all of the tier lists are WRONG. The only tier list getting anything right is just Black Widow at F tier.
Wolverine always seemed strong to me. I just never really saw players USE him right. Every Hero is strong. That was the whole point of this game.
@@khazmsI agree, barely saw anybody playing him right. Kinda like spiderman ngl
@@khazmsIf every hero is strong then WTF IS BLACK WIDOW 😂
@@TheDJYoshhes so bad dude. This coming from someone who plays him in diamond
I always connect the leap , you should melee then leap instantly. You’ll never miss the leap if you hit them with a quick slash 1st . With tanks it’s easier to connect obviously. But this strat really helps out with the dps/healers .
"But thats not how his healing factor works! He's trash" now we are 2 weeks into the game and now my feed is full of wolverine guides smh
I just think Wolverine's feral leap needs a bigger hitbox. I can be right fucking next to some one and have it still missed, hell, I can leap at someone and clearly hit or scrape them and it still misses, it NEEDS a bigger hitbox.
THANK YOU! I thought I was just azz…..
Great video- editing on point and narration is good, consistent, smart and not annoying. I’m plat1 playing him a lot. Agree with everything,‘I thin mk fundamentally, its map knowledge and cooldown management
One of my biggest issues with him is how some ranged characters are so much faster (like Mantis). Also no passive HP regen on Wolverine is kinda sad. Furthermore, the lunge hitbox is wonky. Fix all of that, and he is in a good spot. OR just make him a Vanguard like he should have been.
His damage reduction ability should be a straight heal like Iron fist.
@@ChibiViolinit shouldn't be a straight heal, it should be tied to his rage meter. The higher the rage the faster the healing. Of course, the ability would only heal over a predetermined amount of time and would still have a cooldown after the time runs out.
He’s to much for a vanguard and honestly he’s character works better as a vanguard killer
Almost in Diamond playing mostly Wolverine. Now if only I could get teammates that don't have main character syndrome oh man I would be in business.
Same here
I gave up playing comp because 75% of my teams want to surrender when we could have easily won when I'm literally carrying the entire team on my back
@@MoistYoghurt don't give up bro. just report/avoid those people and it gets better trust
I’m a diamond wolverine, my diamond teammates so far have been worse than my gold ones. How is that possible? Idk. Played a quick play after losing a couple times, and in that quick play I found the best teammates a wolverine could ever ask for. The healers followed me into the fight and I didn’t die once, killed 26 people before we won the match and secured mvp.
I literally begged my teammates to stop pushing the cart bc I wanted a 30 player kill streak.
Great video actually helped me a lot to rank up as wolverine
Dude I’ve been watching you since you played apex season 5 and omg this analysis has been the first thing to help me in playing Wolverine, I never knew how to optimally use his kit but with this I’m all set! Cheerio and thank you!
Everybody thought I was crazy…
I was really excited for the banana strategy until it turned out to be peeling :(
great editing!
1:09 you know what else is crazy?
This is genuinely the best Wolverine breakdown I’ve seen so far
This new editing style is awesome!
I definitely wanna play wolverine but it feels tougher on controller for some reason idk
Turning
Need to bump up that sensitivity
Yea bump up the sensitivity and it'll be easier im sure
We bump up sensitivity then we get the glitch where our screen keeps turning like u have stick drift when u dont
I play black panther on controller it’s not difficult. Crank that sensitivity to 300 and you’ll 180 with 0 difficulty. And wolverine needs waaaaay less sens than panther who has to 180 every 2 seconds
Im still in the camp that Wolverine is still limited in usage. He can be good and this guy and other top players are making him work, but just to say this dude is top 5 broken and busted when just last week everyone called him lame and then everyone bandwagoning that opinion is not good
He is a hero that is only going to be good in really high ranks and comp, because he is very good at destroying comps that rely too much on their tanks. The lower you go, the less people care about tanking so you see 4 dps 1 tank and 1 supp and wv gets absolutely melted and cant do anything.
But in high elo, you usually see classic 2 2 2, sometimes with an overreliance on tanks and supps, this is when wolverine shines at destroying that order. Once you take out 1 of the tanks rhe enemy team starts panicking and messes up.
@@jeanpierrepolnareff9919 hmm that's fair. however lets be honest, this doesn't warrant all of the "Wolverine is broken" talk that started up recently, even though that is a strong point
@@alexlovehall7796 You're right, it's bandwagon hype. Wolverine is good at his niche, but is still ass when you look at him vs any other character. I think every Wolverine player is familiar with the pain of leaping on a support just for them to survive everything and just slightly walk backwards to counter you
@@alexlovehall7796 he's a good character in my opinion but it still need some work. The healing factor is too slow to recover since it has a 100 seconds cooldown, i would rather have a constant passive healing ability than having to wait that much time to avoid death or a way to shorten the cooldown. I would also give him a speed boost that scales with rage.
@@brian9497 I think he can be good in the right hands, but he takes way too long or too much effort to be "top 5 broken" and all the content creators starting to switch up and glaze like 5 different characters in the last week is wild
Logang!
As a main tank I fear this thing the most
They hide in the dark and suddenly kidnapped me to butcher on their side
I didn’t know TGM had a marvel rivals channel. Cool. Subbed 😂
İf they change his healing factor passive correctly, wolverine will be the wolverine we know because he needs and deserves a buff
Should have been a dive tank tbh. He just feels like they wanted him to be one and went "lol we need more dps" last second and nerfed his survivability into the dirt and left his damage the same.
@@ramsey-x2uhaha wolverine is one of the best characters in the game
Man just wait until Akuma makes it into the game, Logan will be invincible.
I love using Wolverine because his gameplay basically boils down to these two scenarios:
1: "Hello I am a tank going to the point with a support behind me! I really hope my support doesn't get leaped on and dragged away from m- wait a minute..."
2: "Hello I am a support on the main point behind a tank and im going to heal our tank so we can maintain pressure, I just wonder where the 6th person on the enemy team is- well, there he is and he just kidnapped our tank, might as well back down so I don't di- *dies from wolverine jumpscare*"
like, its almost comical how his gameplay is just waiting for the perfect moment to strike and when its time, you jumpscare the enemy and drag them away from their team to shred them to pieces
Thx for this really good breakdown!
But if you have more shooters than tanks, it's over for Wolverine.
Thank you for explaining on how the hitbox works because I could never hit anyone with it since the hitbox of that attack is so bad I'm surprised this wasn't fixed for season 1 when I get home I will definitely have to lab the claw Theory to use the cloth to pierce the opponent during the jump instead of using the reticle to aim
Wolvie gets cc'd to oblivion in high elo without communication and coordination. In low elo, Wolvie is an easy target in between dashes and moving to cover. Without good strategists, fuggedaboutit.
Dash needs distance and dmg. Leap is unwieldy and needs larger hit box or lower cooldown. Also grab multiple opponents like Bucky Bionic Arm grab. Shout can go away and just fix his healing factor with a permanent low heal over time. Iron Fist has more of and better healing factor. Ult needs work because Wolvie pops his targets higher than he can jump and they are free to escape, boop, shield, bubble, empower, freeze, sleep, stun, or fade away etc, etc. I think a "Berzerker Barrage" from Marvel vs Capcom is adequate. Rage dissipates too quick.
is wolverine breedable?
@Teddyponsel2626 in the logan movie he has a daughter
Awesome video! Grats! 👏👏👏
I’m new to the game and Wolvy’s a character I wish I liked more. I can see this being handy at learning how to best use him.
Literally my first time playing i picked Wolverine, just cause i'm a fan of the character, and wooooooooooooo i don't get the hate, he is INSANELY fun. Playing him right means being a thorn in the enemy teams ass to the point where they are paranoid you're creeping around a corner XD If i get a good healer in the group, i have no problems letting Hulk just toss my ass into a pile and start shredding. Now the enemy team is trying to deal with short king slicing up tanks and healers, while my team just moves in with me to clear the board. I had NO idea how his leap hitbox worked, so this is a huuuuuge help, cause i was missing those leaps and being so confused lol
Biggest takeaway for me is prioritising building rage, since I never really paid much attention to that aspect
Glad to know some of these tips. As a wolverine main, I want nothing more than to do good enough to justify not going ape shit on Thor, who is my best character hands down
BEEN sayin he really ain’t as bad as people have said lol. I didn’t know why tho 😂😂 Nice vid 🤟🏽
Wolverine is rlly dangerous if you know how to use him efficiently. I think his problem is horrible survivability.
But giving him too much agility could make him broken, which as a Wolverine main i don't wanna main a top tier character. But there are situations I've found myself in where I felt sluggish or slow. His attacks are also his mobility, so if you strike and miss you have no options but to get your hp vaporized. I've also found myself not even doing enough damage with max rage on, and just dying even when landing my kidnapping. Getting out DP'd is a problem for him at times.
This is a great breakdown and there is a lot to learn from vod reviews. Scarlet witch would be great to see, she is very simple but a lot pf people think she sucks.
Would love to see if anyone abuses her at high lvl
I wonder if the Merchant knew of Necros before this. It puts a lot of context to his gameplay
To be fair, before team carptain there are already several high rank wolf players even reach rank two
Just saying, but he is good for sure.
It didn't mean team captain did anything wrong, what I mean is, the people already change their mind on every characters.
There's always a top500 1 trick of every hero. That doesn't make the hero good.
@@Torbintime Yeap, but let's be honest, love is more important than state in season 0
Love playing wolverine but you need them heals and a pretty aggressive team.
Wolverines ultimate is one of thr best hulk ultimate counters. With max rage wolverines ultimate can basically one shot monster hulks 1500 health because of his percentage damage. I find this funny because of the lore of wolverine and hulks rivalry.
If he’s backed up by his team then Wolverine can be deadly.
The skillset from Team Fortress 2's spy transfers rather cleanly to Wolverine: pretty much the exact same playstyle with certain spy cloak varieties.
@@Thintech1 I mean that they both stalk their targets from unseen angles, then come up behind them and strike for the kill, and if they see you before it happens, you're doing it wrong.
@@Thintech1 We're using different terminology to describe the same thing.
Let me put it this way: A plumber's "toolkit" is his tools, like wrenches, screwdrivers, etc., but his SKILLSET is the knowledge of how to actually get the job done.
Wolverine and the spy have a very different toolkit, but their skillsets are very similar: They both need to wait for the right moment to strike or risk failing, they both want to remain hidden from the enemy until the last possible moment before striking, they both use height to their advantage, they both want to retreat back to their team if spotted, they both require a lot of observation and gamesense to know when the absolute best time will be to strike, and their ability to delete a high priority target can make or break a fight.
No, the spy doesn't tackle the enemy with claws out (not the last time I played TF2, but they're adding crazy new weapons all the time so who knows), but all of the skills of a longtime spy player transfer very cleanly to Wolvie.
Chat I just reached Gold I from Gold III by using Cap (I'm proud of that, SOLO). :D
I have some thoughts on Cap (having Thor is even better).
Cap's job is to dive to the backline and mess with them (not dying is better). Wolverine on the other hand, steals enemy tank towards your team and lets your back dps finish the tank with Wolverine.
What I learn is, when they got no tank (at least -1), they can be much more vulnerable...
I cannot do what I'm explaining since I play mostly solo AND the team just doesn't understand what Cap does (bringing chaos to enemy backline), I always get blamed. Maybe for those who party can do something like this IDK....
And Dash has a 1 minute cool down.....
I wanted to main wolverine. But the bad hitbox on the leap is what made me not continue. They really need to improve that hit box plus it feels really awkward how he jumps, it feels like it starts of vertically first then horizontal.
Just how I started using him, he’s actually op if you know how to use him
amazign video very clean. you could make it for psylocke ?
Love this guide but with the news that he does more damage when on higher fps and is faster those with less powerful consoles/Pc will always be at a disadvantage
Wolverine still needs a buff not a huge one just his ultimate is alil buggy and his feral pounce and they need to give bro regeneration after every 3 successful hits
The suggested combo tells you to play this way
turns out everyone who called wolverine the weakest character in the game, just dont know how to play him. shocker.
if you try this in low elo youre as good as cooked. if you team dont know what youre doing and how to play around this they just die before you even flank
He still needs buffs.
LOGANG!!!
(u should do it for black panther)
The whole internet was wrong about Wolvie. Eff all of you!!!
How does he see the enemies through walls? Someone just answer that for me once and for all. Please.
Turns out, when you’re actually good at a character. Tier lists don’t matter
People still coping and saying Wolverine is still bad....
Team Captain: "Skill Issue!!" 😁
He 3-0 Necros team as wolverine today in the tourny wolvy meta is here
In my opinion a 3 star like wolverine shouldn't be so technically and annoying at times to play as either buff him or make him a 5 star so people know
I played a ranked matched with aganst a wolverine as a tank holy it was acc so frasutrating I couldn't belive ppl said he was bad but at the same time it depends on the player
Is it just me or the video only mentioned five out of the six pillars shown at the beginning? Maybe Peeling's self-explanatory, but I hoped there was perhaps more to it than that.
I dont think wolverine is trash. But it doesnt change that he is in more need of a buff than any other charcter. Because his abillity to survive on point is trash
He ethier needs a second passive where he begins to heal 3 health a second after 5 seconds of taking no damage. Or lower his last stand down to somewhere inbetween 30 and 45 seconds.
I tried wolverine got 10 matches straight still got wrecked quite hard to play compared to range classes 😂
act like a lone wolf... being constantly healed and bubbled.
Wolverine is a character that needs teamwork to work, so it isnt as good in lower ranks. People saying that wolverine still needs a buff havent played in grandmaster.
If people want wolverine to be good in lower ranks too then he needs a rework and not a buff.
been playing him without these tips back in my day u just need 1 kill and 17 deaths and ur rank 1
i started playing wolv in ranked a couple days after rank launched. The abuse i went through picking this guy...people would say at the start of a match that i was a waste of space and telling me to kms. It stopped when i got to gm 2. Now im at eternity and he gets banned lmao. People just blind follow tier lists.
> it's no doubt that Teamcaptain has helped prove everybody wrong
He didn't. So there's that. #1 storm doesnt make storm good. wolverine is below average on most maps. He's a worse iron fist if his ult is down. He also loses to iron fist 1v1 even if his ult is up.
We were wrong? Leave me and my brother out of it. Me and my bro knew he was good from the beginning
Get a rocket on your team and those rocket boots he can give out. And using your feral leap will take them even more out of position.
really helpful
Key strategy number 1. Having 160 fps
Do captain america next!
He still needs wall climb.
I had a goated wolverine in my team in ranked, then he was on the enemy team, and we banned Wolverine and beat him lol
Can you do the same video, but for storm ?
good video
Funny how they ban the character they deem “bad”
If he is bad than why ban him ?
if only the wolverines on my team didnt go 2/41
Actually the firdt pillar of gameplay is having a team that will crutch wolverine. He does nothing when playing alone.
"We"?
Don't include us.
We don't just blindly believe anyone without trying it ourselves.😂
But Wolvi still needs some tweak with his leap.
Just because someone plays well and has a comp that makes the character work doesn't mean the character is actually good, it just means the comp and player are effective. Wolverine struggles in every aspect besides kidnapping tanks. No other hero except black widow is this niche and it's no wonder they're both terrible characters.
people really thought wolverine was dog?
People playing wolverine like playing black panther lol 😂....he's build specifically to fuck tank...not healer 😂
Good thing I don't listen to youtubers and streamers saying what's good or not. Play what you like and are good at and your experience will tell you what is good in what comp and at what rank.
Don't wait for the minority of content creators who finally get owned by a character to say it's good. That is extremely sad.
Genuinely the worst character in the game. Can't believe people were trashing Spider-Man when Wolverine isn't even the slightest bit rewarding.
Spiderman it's just difficult, not trash, a good spiderman will wipe out the enemy team without even getting caught, small hitbox plus high mobility and damage in the right hands he'll make the game unplayable for the enemy.
I've seen good Spiderman's hold off enemies from getting point and is busted.
Kinda hard when you try to isolate a squishy one just for being wipe out by all the team with zero dmg full rage... 2 jump back and you are out of target... I don t understand the dmg I see in this video
Flip flopping like a fish
I KNEW IT! Wolverine IS good! 😤
What tank counters wolverine. Make a video about that. lol im tired of veing crushed
TeamCaptain just proved why you should not follow the herd mentality!
But. His mask is still 2 batman kissing
he does so well because he has a premade
Yeah, that's what most people miss, I call it crutches because the whole comp is about crutching wolverine, healers on top of him 24/7, tanks opening the pathway on the back line, wolverine kidnaps one tank and gets shredded by the other 4 characters, rinse and repeat.
Wolverine is not broken at all, all these "high ELO wolverine" players are just using crutches to make him work which makes the character trash in itself if he relies heavily on the whole team to get one pick.
It's a team game, sure, but characters need to work by themselves in order to add up to the progress of the game and if you have a wolverine that needs constant help you're not adding to the team, the team is adding to you and that's not a good character.
why new channel though??
Everything you need to know in one video
