I just found this song over my half dozenth Kenton binge. I love everything you've performed and created, but as a lapsed Christian this is the song that brought tears to my eyes. I have my own traumas in the church with it failing to be the safe space it promised to be and am feeling every word you sing. I feel like watching an angel calling out God and the people claiming him, and it's just so empowering. I hope someday I get to see you perform live. Sending love from Indonesia.
Kenton, After catching you in a few recent PMJ videos, I found myself enthralled with your vocal style and spent the last two hours delving into your RUclips repertoire, all the way back to high school. You have a wonder-filled voice, and a mind-numbing amount of talent. May you ever continue to fill the world with your gifts of song. Truly amazing! Mark
Please tell me you're going to release a studio-recorded version of 'Truly Love!' - For those that aren't familiar with the song: ruclips.net/video/eOTPT3Yq0Es/видео.html
Your band here is so tight. The way you all''s vocals come together is just like wine - intoxicating - seriously. Where are these guys now? This is a whole 4 1/2 years ago . . . You all do good - really, REALLY GOOD!
janee barrett oh goodness well fortunately/unfortunately almost everyone has dispersed. Kristen plays drums for Borns. Molly plays guitar for Jason Mraz. Corbin plays bass for sooo many artists including a Kendrick Lemar video Nick is a prolific composer/arranger, most recently for the show Nashville We still see each other a lot! Just not as a full band anymore
Well that's all wonderful too. And still, what a tight amazing band and you were together for that time. I certainly don't have the ear, education, etc of many but I can tell that much. I'm going to quote my friend Vickie here. She would just be an open heart and effuse - "Wow! Wow! Wow!" I hope you enjoy your day.
Ah thanks Wes. There is a studio version to this that I never released. It didn't really satisfy my standards....You got me thinking I should revisit this and see if I can let it into the universe.
I really hope you find some way to keep this song alive, i feel like lyrically it has such a great message that could encourage people to be themselves regardless of circumstance Maybe all you needed was to grow and gain the experience you have now in order to make this song what it potentially could be :) (also, as a fan of your work, i really appreciate that you take the time out to reply to us when we comment. It's humbling.)
Thank you so much! Can't wait to share all the new music I've been working on - this song included :)
