- Susi has fallen into our trap again. She had to play 10 P-style basses in three different styles. Finger style, Thumb style, and Slap. Below you can find timestamps for every instrument and style, so you can jump around and compare them yourself. Let the show begin!

Ooft. That Fender Player Buttercream P Bass looks delicious. Great demo. Thanks!
Those Marcus Miller basses sound great, especially the P5R.
Totally agree
The Duff bass scoop is the one that caught my ears. The red HB and the yellow Fender Player are probably the most classic P-bass sound with the Sire basses not shabby at all.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Susi "Whole Lotta Groove" Lotter!!
Despite my bias in favor of PJ and passive, I think I liked the Sandberg and the Sire P8 the best.
This is was a great way to compare tones of 10 basses quickly. Thanks.
The professora of the bass, drops another hot one. Yall do have a lot of P/J bass in a PBass video.
While there are similarities between the models presented here, the Marcus Millers really popped for me. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Harley Bentons (IYVs?). Nice playing!
Thanks Susi, interesting comparisons, some of the tonal differences seemed more apparent when played in slap style, which surprised me.
Would love to say Fender but Sire wins for me . . . and pleasantly surprised at the HBs
Super. The Harley Benton 's sound is incredible
The 50s (red body) one, right? I as flabbergasted
@@edilsonvizotto6436 yes
@@edilsonvizotto6436 I've been thinking about getting one with the tobacco/sunburst pattern. Oh man, more toys!!!
That p5r sounds great!
Fine work.
Still no regrets for getting a sandberg instead of a Fender Precision. ^^
But the Sire/MM P5 is still on my wishlist.
MM P5R sounds great
The pb50 sounds the best to me
Surprised, Fender Player series and especially the PJ sounded best. Slap sound was perhaps more even and depending on if you wan crisp (Sandberg, p8 sire) sound or ( sire p4r) for vintage tone.
The Sire P8 sounded great.
Where's the pick style 🤷
🔥!!ON FIRE!! ❤🔥
well done, Susi !
I think the fender player plus just edged it. Weirdly it was only the sandberg I didn’t really enjoy 😮
Is it just me or the Harley Benton and the Duff McKagan sig kinda sounded like there was a phaser effect on whenever she slapped the open E string?
The PB-20? Not the first video with that bass where I've noticed that, someone said if the strings are too close to the strings it can cause that effect
P basses ❤
GR8 VIDEO...VERY ENTERTAINING....I WILL TAKE DUFF MC KAGAN FENDER...
What’s the song in slap riff? Very cool! Btw it seems all of them great basses, especially thanks to those magic hands!!
Good playing! I'm curious about the weight difference between each.
Sire P5 and Fender Duff
The sandberg and mm pj
J-basses please!
did you use all basses in passive mode? love your playing!
Not sure about a "Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass Special" in a video called "10 P-Basses" 🤔😂
they all sound like p basses to me, but ich liebe the faces susi makes while playing them
Pj bass video
Too much treble used on all of them to get the typical P Bass sound.
1:19 you need to clean those dusty bridges off before you video them :)
That happens to MiM Fenders with 1,5k price tags: nice wall decorations which collect dust.(it‘s a great bass but I remember them going for 1k and that was steep).
Ugly sound ....maybe the strings ?!??
You look as though you are in pain playing some of those basses.
With this much cab sim and EQ on it even my turd would sound like this if you plug a cable in it.
The basses all sounded pretty different, and other than a boost in the treble the eq sounded reasonable
