I am a senior, born and raised in Hawaii, so I know Tulsi quite well as a politician. I believe strongly that she Should recommend people who feel like she does, as I do, to be independent. But to tell people to just leave the Democratic Party and basically go to The Republican Party is like jumping into the fire from the frying pan. I like being independent, because that’s who I’ve always been. This year I will choose the Democratic party when I vote in the primary. In the general election, I have always chosen the person and not the party when I chose my votes.😊

So you won't vote for her if Trump chooses her as his VP? You should watch some of her interviews about Trump. He's actually not as bad as the mainstream media has painted him as. I always voted Democrat but after doing my diligent homework I realized that the smear campaign on Trump had me completely brainwashed. Biden is dangerous because he's not actually making the decisions and there is a LOT of smoke and mirrors going on that are quite terrifying.

Regarding intensely emoting college protestors, youth fall prey when history is not taught in school as it happened.
As historian Michael Imhotep says, “your understanding of politics is directly related to your understanding of history.”
This conversation felt right leaning, in that the Dem’s were accused of wanting to “take over power” and Dem’s are “against independent thought as a direct threat to their power.”
This is an over-blown & magnified blanket statement.
I have a question, on surveillance, shouldn’t everyday Americans be protected from Herculean advances towards exploitation & abuse by big tech/economic bullies & monopolizers?
I would love to be recommended a conversation where either Chris or non-conformist people are having a thought provoking conversation & unpack this presumption of Dem’s more.
Let’s be clear, we cannot fairly say the Dem’s are tribal without saying the same of the Republican party.
Democrats have advocated descent of their leaders.
I deeply value inner-peace, community / national peace & wellbeing and freedom.
♦️Denying workers to come together & unionize for workers’ rights & fair treatment is not freedom
♦️Leaving weapons of mass destruction (war weapons) on the streets, that repeatedly end up in school shootings, murdering little boys & girls is not the freedom Americans are hoping for
♦️Taking away our children’s freedom to read & understand history as it happened is not freedom
♦️Threatening to take away the people’s vote if not favorable to the losing Presidential candidate is not freedom
♦️Policing a woman’s body, denying her the freedom to choose (by banning abortions) is not freedom
♦️Exposing Americans to harm by removing environmental protections for safe air & water (the Chevron deference) is not Americans’ idea of true freedom
The above are clear over-reaches from within the Republican party (which is against the interest of the majority of American people) and was failed to be directly challenged in this conversation.

Your post exceptionally assays the detrimental domestic and foreign policy tenets of the Republican Party, which is certainly the case with the outrageous Trumpster/Republican political predilections that are absurd to obscene proportions. As far as Tulsi Gabbard, her precipitous 180-degree about-face sociopolitical economic drastic tectonic shifts virtually overnight Trumpster/Republican conversion. Should be suspect of her harboring cryptic clandestine artifice for ulterior motives. The abrupt departure from the Democratic Party to an impetuous averred Republican and incredulous expeditious adaptive Trumpster/Republican is surreal and evokes questioning Tulsi Gabbard's sincerity. An individual with a modicum of political sophistication will question Tulsi's integrity and surmise the thought. Does Tulsi Gabbard have character?

She doesn't claim to be an independent. She has already said she switched to the Republican a year ago. I always voted Democrat up until this Year. Not all Republicans are far right hill billies. I'm Latina and my entire family is voting for him. I consider myself more independant , but some of my values are starting to align more like a or a Right leaning Independent. Also - I HATED Trump up until I started to unravel the literal smear campaign they have been doing on him. We don't have to like him as a person or be his friend, but he literally is an excellent business man and did an excellent job getting the countries to all work together. I would really recommend checking out Tulsi's youtube and digging a little more and you'll understand more where she stands. She also has a book that is excellent that I highly recommend listening to as an audio book - I truly believe she is genuine, she comes from Hawaii and I do think she's the kind of person that wants to unite. Just because you're democrat, republican or independant, doesn't mean you can't work together to fix the 💩 hole of these divided states.

Tulsi Gabbard is an opportunist. She makes a drastic precipitous tectonic shift to a Trumpster/Republican. Any individual with a modicum of political sophistication would question the query. • @tinetannies4637
      @tinetannies4637 Месяц назад

@@Mor928 I don't think there's anything clandestine about Gabbard's MAGA embrace, I think it's pretty clear and out in the open. If you're black, gay, a minority of any kind, a disenchanted former anything-left-of-GOP (Democrat, socialist, union member, etc.) and you're willing to sell your soul, it's easy to make a quick buck as a GOP opportunist because the GOP loves tokens they can hold up to show their "diversity" and "honesty". On the left, for example, someone like Tim Scott would be just another fish in a big sea of diversity. But within the GOP, he can be thoroughly mediocre and always have a place as a cheerful token. The great irony is that if you want to find DEI hires, you'll find them on the right.

Tulsi Gabbard has undoubtedly revealed she has no character or moral fiber, perhaps not a conscience. Less than four years ago, Tulsi Gabbard professed to be a devout Hare Krishna devotee. Hare Krishna is a spiritual faith practice that mirrors the religious faith of Mahatma Gandhi, a Hindu. Less than four years ago, Tulsi Gabbard made a drastic 180-degree about-face, highly likely an insincere turnabout in her religious faith from Hare Krishna spiritual practice to the Republican Party. Even worse an appalling abrupt shift to a Trumpster/Republican at that. Hare Krishna spiritual practices are antithetical to the fundamental tenets of the Republican Party. Moreover, it is a ghastly transformation to a Trumpster/Republican at that. Tulsi's glibness articulates her transition to the Republican Party devoid of a dialog ever referencing an iota of her past Hare Krishna spiritual practice is incontrovertible certainty Tulsi Gabbard lacks moral fiber. And is not to be trusted.

If we forget it they were doomed to repeat it the very reason for my people to be where they are because we do not ever forget what happened and what we had to go through, leaving our home country to come to a different country, because we were afraid of the way they were running their government and that shall not happen to anyone anywhere in the world, including here. Best compliment I can provide you: you have allowed yourself to evaluate based upon the facts as they compile….. ever since you left CNN. You returned to your legal roots without Zucker/CNN producer and ideology group think owning your ear. You and most of the extended NewsNation team are doing a proper job.
Great transparent conversation with Tulsi. You missed the final layup right at the end when discussing boating/football teams/politics. The reason in politics it’s an isolated position is the DAILY hammering from social to MSM to the parties themselves that the other party is 100% wrong and I’m right. There is no alternative to go. There’s a 3rd party candidate with a political legacy that’s polling significant to make an impact and he’s not afforded a security detail? How unAmerican is that?
It’s an orchestrated effort of the media/parties to constantly hammer the hate. You’d have the same problem if baseball was only the Yankees and RedSox and eliminated the other 30 teams. The same if Baskin Robbins took out 29 other flavors and left with just chocolate and vanilla(actually crap and crap with sprinkles) . Coke Pepsi, etc. Just think about how dominant Coke/Pepsi was but now we’ve greatly expanded our drinking choices. Sure you might be paying Coke and Pepsi largely but the diversity of choice applies. But the 1980s concept applies here politically. Think about what Jan Hus and Martin Luther did to the Church. They spoke up and held the Church to account. They paid a price but Protestantism proliferated.
That systemic display of hate and competitive lockout is what keeps everything in check for the 2 kingpins. In a country that thrives on competitive landscape for best options, its leadership is the exact opposite of it.

    • @virtualawakening2299

Anyway I can’t believe I’m saying this but this was a good interview, I love tulsi, she’s a thinker, she’s compassionate about her love for this country, she’s pro 2A, she wants to bring back law and order into this country before it’s too late…

I believe Trump is not a Republican by definition he's more of an establishment & media disruptive anomaly with both conservative & liberal views..it's not about leaving democrats and becoming a Republican but supporting the person with the country's best interest! Right now, that's Trump!

Chris doesn't believe them, he doesn't believe the military generals who've spoken against Trump, Chris is pretending to be "independent minded" by appeasing the far-right and feeding into their ideology by playing on the supposed existential threat of the far-right.

Love this attitude Chris! I think it's about getting people in office who care about the issues and are willing to have a consultation about solutions as opposed to just trying to get their idea to be the one that wins. One person's idea is rarely better than an idea that gets molded and honed by a group of people consulting in good faith

Tulsi is similar to Russell Brand. They both talk a lot and use a lot of generalities but hardly ever talk in specifics. It's truly frustrating to listen to her. She's intellectually dishonest.

The problem with Democrats is they wish to represent the people, so how can they take a stand unless it the wish of their constituency? And even then, Gabbard would wish to represent all the othes too. I respect that.

Its possible but he's going to have to do a LOT of groveling, accountability and a lot of time. I think he's awful for what he did so I don't trust him one bit but he's asking questions and if he keeps at it he'll finally disconnect from the Matrix. I was kind of woke myself before the pandemic and I'm now fully AWAKE!

Yep. She uses the incorrect term "Democrat Party" in her book title instead of "Democratic Party" (despite being a member of that party for years) which should tell you all you need to know. I like Chris but I think he struggles with the difference between having open debate and hearing different points of view (which is absolutely crucial) with giving a platform to people who are not argung in good faith. Like someone like Ann Coulter (whatever you think of her) genuinely believes what she's saying and so you can engage with her and agree/disagree/challenge her what have you.
