His version of Amazing Grace is the best version I have ever heard. *Warning* it starts out very slow and solemn..... it gives respect for what the song is. Don't let it fool you. The power increases throughout..... and by the end.... he's basically showing off his vocal talent. Like it's not fair to anyone else who sang the song before him. A little bit of metal in an iconic traditional Christian hymn - bring it on!
I actually enjoyed that he was solemn and reverent for the song at first, and then gradually built the power until the end. By the end.... he was just showing off his vocal talent..... and telling the "greats of music" that he has planted a flag in their yard and declared victory.

G'day Josh, Just had you pop up in my feed coz I'm a huge Dan tragic and have been watching everything I can get my mits on...🥴 Dan is one of those singers that once under the skin, you want them to be permanent, like good ink...he can and does sing e.v.e.r.y.thing, from Angra, Shaman, Helloween and more, to show tunes, movie music and chrissy songs to Opera. He is very well trained and very talented, with an enviable range, and when he goes into the stance and applies the "Vasc Grip" to the microphone, you know he is about to really let rip with those pipes... and did I mention that he is ohhhh so easy on the ol' peepers, with that glorious mane of luscious locks and that body...mmm mmm mmm... the stuff dreams, and "thaughties", are made from...it might, or might not, be something to do with him being Brazilian and speaking multiple languages, who knows... 😋 Some of my personal favourite videos are: "Never Enough"; "Dr Stein"; "Dr Feelgood"; "Gethsemane" from the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack; "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from Mulan; any and all of his Witcher renditions, and of course "Amazing Grace", which has been a phenomenal success for him, and deservedly so. He has a few videos of the same song recorded years apart, and the improvement is very much noticeable and appreciable. First heard the young man only a month ago with his most beautiful, strong and powerful rendition of Amazing Grace. If he had a dollar for everytime it gave someone goosebumps, chills or tears, well, he'd have an awful lot of money! Started searching his channel, and discovered he truly does have a fabulous range, control, and skill that enables him to deliver some terrific covers (many of which this old lady actually prefers to the originals). He does harder core stuff too, not my preferred style, but hey, he sure meets the challenge. Try Mulan, I'll make a Man out of You, Amazing Grace, My Mother Told Me, see self-harmonies in Hallelujah choir and Queen covers. The Bring Me to Life one kinda creeps me out with the growls, but wow does it show off the range. Love Heaven is a Place on Earth, covers of Kickstart my Heart, Dr Feelgood, I Remember You. He does Elvis, Europe and Toto also, Journey, and all are good. You can see skills change and accent diminish as the years go by, he has been a prolific artist and well deserving of his success.
