"If you gotta tuck in your shirt and get up at a certain time.....its no good man" Amen to that!
I define it the same
I thought that was funny; he basically said to a guy who tucks in his shirt and gets up at 5am!

DiG!
''To be able to wake up when you want. That's success.'' - Mitch Hedberg.
Couldn't agree more!!
I got alot of respect for Barry for getting such a genuine interview with Mitch
It's amazing and heart-wrenching to see him at this precise moment in time - so young, real, and ambitious, with such a good outlook and no trouble on the horizon. His definition of success here is brilliant and seems to come to him instantly: "To be able to wake up when you want, that's success. And to be able to untuck your shirt, man." His jokes were so funny because his view of the world was so beautiful. RIP Mitch ☮
Well, he was real and ambitious, but his definition of success was to "get up any time he wants, doing what he wants when he wants". Which is exactly what he did - made enough money via his comedy and then got up when he wanted, did what he wanted, and took as many drugs as he wanted. So it does make sense his life unraveled this way, right?
Wow, he was so adorable, smart, and funny.
WHAT A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING
He was a lovely person and great comedian! Died too early. Very unique funny man.
Pure diamond. Too wonderful for this Earth

Brilliant interview here. Man, Hed’s answer for success is so genius.
thank you so much for posting these barry. Im an aspiring entertainer. I loved mitch. And he gives such great advice here on your show. You asked great questions.
Hi dude, it's random, but how's the entertainment thing going? Not in a bad way, it's just been like 10 years and I hope it went well lol :)
2:09 Mitch's definition of success is billiant
Where are they now . . .
I agree. That's how I live. He's right.
Goddamn right
@@YManCyberDude Six feet away from his ideals.
@ Yeah but he died happier than most people on Earth
one of a kind with PURE GENIUS!
Wake up when you want, I love it, definition of success, bro! 👌 👍
Mitch could've been a damn philosopher/life coach. He had such a good attitude and life outlook, holy crap
Great guy. Lots of pain covered with very withdrawn body language and tons of humor. A shy genius.
Very inspiring -stay encouraged! Keep doing what u do-Mitch.
Mitch didn't need no school...he was a comical genius.
He just wanted to simplify his life and be happy. It was working for a while. I bet he’s happy now where he is. 🙏
It's so funny how barry talks when he starts cracking up. Great interview, thanks for posting it!
Hey Barry, you got to meet the real Mitch. As humans we can’t realize when we’re with someone truly special until it’s gone, a weird aspect of us all being human unfortunately. Mitch was an incredibly nice and kind person, I’m sure you know that, as you met him. He killed the comedy scene and was probably one of the most unlikely personalities to do that. He had it, whatever it is, but a truly nice, kind, and genuine guy. We all miss him….always.

Thanks for sharing. Always good to see new (to me) Mitch stuff.
Barry seems like such a legit guy. Not like these reporters with their phony on air radio voices.
Apparently he has a black belt and is a national tournament champion in tae kwon do, so he can back you up physically as well as mentally and financially. Not sure what degree black belt though. Barry?
@@fartkerson really! He's a badass! Mad respect for Barry right now

The interviewer looks and acts like he could be the brother of ross from friends lol
He also seems to kinda be crushing on Mitch lol.
More like David Duchovny to me.
True
Wish he was around, we need his type
Barry's pretty cool for real.
sometimes it take the right individual to bring out the chill in a man
Love Mr. M! Very talented dude, for sure. People tell me I look like him. What do YOU think? Thanks for the shareage, Mr. B. Gooooood day! :~)
For all of his personal demons, he just seems like he would have been so lovable as a friend. Like not malicious, all his damage was to himself but he seems as if he would never hurt someone else. Awesome hair too. I am usually a typical male that scowls from time to time in public and just looks tough and serious often. But a few of my buddies make me smile upon sight and Mitch seemed like the type of dude that as soon as you run into him, you would smile or laugh . Like a real life "Dude where's my car type dude"
God Damnit! I'm getting sick of awesome people dying young!
Me too. We are still here, yet so many of the people we enjoyed are gone. I hate it
👌MISS YOU MITCH👌
Barry, did you feel that shirt tucked into them draws real tight as soon as Mitch explained what sucess was?
Rest in Peace Mitch!
The neighbor knocking on his wall was Nick Di Paolo.
Every time I watch a Headburg video I get mad, sad, disappointed and totally amused.
If he were still with us, he could have surpassed Carlin.
1:00 (...discovered pot...)
Oh the possibilities. Would have liked for him to grow older, wiser, and with that, be the funniest guy on the planet.
Successful spit! That's a good come back! This interviewer cracks me up.lol
i always knew mitch must be really smart, now he confirmed it himself
3:45 the interviewer is so giving mitch the eyes lol! "that a good answer your a funny guy"
notnavonnam Mitch thinks this guy is a little weird. But he also thinks he’s nice
that was a great interview , He Spit on his desk LMFAO
me to oh hell yeah
I honor him for recognizing his spit
Hey man, it wasn't spit. It was successful spit. Big difference ;)
hahahahh "it landed right on harney"
Mitch could have done commercials for Breck.
he looks like the lead singer from ....uhm not stone temple pilots but i think gavin newsome? wait yeah gavin newsome?

I think the interviewer has a lil guy crush!
I thought Barry Farber was the guy Rachel was supposed to marry in Friends.
(the beginning)
untuck your shirt. beautiful
@goddessmhj7 "It landed right on irony!!"
Uh... settle down. Jesus. He has a limited amount of time. This interview was actually quite good. Take some advice from your boy Hedberg, and relax man.
Holy shit that's mitch hedberg? He is so different before drugs
@drufuss2006
Yeah I couldn't tell if he actually was complimenting Mitch or mumbling angrily because of what he said. But either way, it was the truth. If Mitch just said the same old cliche bullshit answer "just keep trying and work at your dreams" not only would the interview be boring as hell, but he wouldn't be himself. He would be acting/lying. Not only that but it is common sense what people should do. OF COURSE you should work harder if you want to be successful. derp.
idk but mitch might be high in this clip or very very nervous... hard to tell. great funny guy though.
Mitch is hot!
Again, very clever. You remind me of Steve Martin. You can tell how smart he is when he pretends to be really stupid and old-fashioned, the way you're pretending to be. Excellent satire.
Farber cant think outside himself to understand Mitch. How did he get a talk show when he cant follow someones ideas and relate and build a conversation.
With this look Mitch could have played Jesus..:)
...wait, he wasn't?
Mitch was another train wreck that threw away his life because of drugs.
One of the creepiest things I've ever seen ... clearly I'm not talking about Mitch.
Why couldn't Barry Faber have OD'd instead of Mitch?
@giantrobot9000 fake
Barry was tiresome. He tried to be funny with a guy who was FUNNY. Don't ...dooooo... that.
Kinda hard to, seeing as he passed away in 2005.
