Infinity G35 Crank No Start

Hello everyone, thanks for watching. This vehicle was from an auction for a crank no start concern. The shop had replaced the fuel pump and a few other parts trying to get it started. I was able to tell an engine mechanical fault right away just by cranking the engine over. Always start with your basic checks first before diving in.

im having a similar issue my g35 2004 wont start took it to a shop and he gave me a run around and changed several parts and never found out the issue

Swapped a new engine into my g35 won’t start has no fuel or spark my dad thinks it’s a problem with the ecu but we swapped that with a new one and it still has same problem he thinks it has something too do with an anti theft system on the ecu itself because the vehicle hasn’t had an engine in it for a long time but I feel as if that is unlikely too happen but if there are any tips or ideas anyone has please let me know

The ton wheel for the crank position sensor is the flywheel. Did you install it correctly?

Crazy that an 'automotive repair shop' had to call a mobile mechanic to diagnose a timing issue, I'll make sure not to go to that shop, maybe it's just a tire shop.

Before I watch I think it’s camshaft sensor

Faulty camshaft sensor will cause long crank but it will start. Low on power but it will be working. Faulty crankshaft sensor will make it not to start. There is another propper technique to diagnose timing issues - Cam / Crank correlation.

I have a 370 crank no start found my intake manifold gasket was leaking all around and map sensor was dirty. Scanner reading lean on alot of components. And gas gauge reading incorrectly it’s saying I need gas but flashing 70miles till empty I’m so confused
