She plays a Colonel Reese in an episode of MASH from the 70s. So technically yes in a past life, she did! Mary Wickes also voices Laverne in Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame which came out after she passed away.
She was also the housekeeper to General Waverly in White Christmas....she can keep that inn ship-shape! 😂

I think the nuns have the rings because they symbolically “marry” Christ/the church when they take their vows and become nuns. Learned that from Call the Midwife, they wore wedding dresses and everything.Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Love your videos 💕

4:40 is not a plot hole, that's how courts work ,you don't just get a trial date immediately. And no she cant just testify in front of a judge, that robs the defense of the opportunity to cross examine. Have you never seen a court drama?

Three troublemakers (the leader, the hype, and the reluctant badass) being caught by Maggie Smith while they’re sneaking back in late at night-since the first HP movie came out, I found the almost identical scenes hilarious.

@@MoviesinDepth eh it was just a small high school production. Not anything major. Plus I didn’t get to do it long because five centimetre tonsils had to be taken out during our rehearsals and I got strep throat on top of it! I got so sick I had sepsis. Low key nearly died. Fun times.

I LOVE this movie! But as a military-trained firearms mechanic, that 'silencer' at 2:46 wouldn't silence a .22 short.
The .22 short is only marginally more lethal than a .177 hunting pellet from an air-rifle, meaning that a silencer is worthless on that weapon.
The explosion of the gunpowder is louder than the bullet.
A .177 air-rifle pellet would be quieter, and would still probably bounce off of his skull without killing him.

Not that this movie's at all realistic, but the court date thing isn't really a plot hole. The 6th Amendment gives people accused of a crime the right to confront a witness giving testimony, by way of a cross-examination. That's why you have to actually be there in court and answer the defence attorney's questioning in the moment fi you're testifying, not just provide a private statement to a judge. It's also why witness protection exists - because having a witness not be able to make it to court is potentially very useful to a defendant's case.

This movie made me realize that music is everything to me and if I'm not singing, I'm not really happy.
Fun fact: The actor for Vince's guy that got pa-powed in the beginning also plays Rom, a famous Ferengi and Quark's brother from Deep Space Nine.

4:49 - I don't think that would work. In US justice system, an accused has a constitutional right to face the accuser (or at least accuser's lawyer has the right to cross examine... for the jury). So you can't record a testimonial video for the court (unless it dying confession). She has to testify in the court, in front of judge and jury.

Maggie Smith is an absolute classic woman she plays such quick wit, sarcastic, and no nonsense characters so well. Loved her since I watched Hook to Downtown Abbey.
Kathy Najimy-Mary Patrick- has been in a lot from playing the Evil Queen in Descendants, in Cat's Don't Dance as the hippo and she sings in that too, her most recent I've seen was a small role in Dumplin.

I went to catholic school my entire childhood. In high school, I was part of the church choir, and we did a Sister Act performance for a talent show, including I will follow him. It was the only time I dressed like a nun. 😂 Sister Mary Lazarus still makes me laugh. May she rest in peace. 🙏

The reason she couldn't just give her testimony to a judge is that part of our rights as US citizens includes being able to confront our accuser. He has the right to have his lawyers cross-examine her, which is why it has to wait until they have a court date

Definitely watch the sequel. It includes what, I would argue, is one of the greatest moments in music. "Come and join the chorus, The mighty, mighty chorus, Which the morning stars begun, The Father of love is reigning over us" with Lauryn Hill, Tanya Blount, and three other singers I don't know. It's worth watching JUST for that. But the movie is very good.
