Malkin's 1000th was my first live hockey game. Went with my best friend. Had great seats. It's an absolute perfect memory that fed my new obsession with hockey and the Pens. I'm so grateful for that experience and can't wait for more.
Fun Fact: the ref who went up to Malkin at 5:52 is Furman South. He was one of the greatest hockey players of all time at Quaker Valley (Sewickley area, right outside of Pittsburgh). He went on play for D1 Robbert Morris University and then became an NHL ref in 2016.
Gotta love NHL refs like Ref South. A lot of F bombs and chirps when calls don't go your way, but you gotta love that all that banter is pushed aside to give respect and credit where it's due.
Lifelong pens fan. Love to see these videos, I wish they made more - I just hate the song they play at PPG when the pens take the ice. It doesn’t suit their brand or style at all.

When I was a senior, we played against Quaker valley, furman was a freshman at that point, but man what a player he was. Even as a freshman.
What an eventful past month, happy to see everyone is well and doing good. Always wholesome to see this side of our Pens, LGP!
