Was waiting for mine to arrive but i guess they'll never get here...lol You mentioned the fan noise...WOW!!! i have ran a set of the Zhiyun Molus for over 10 hours straight in the studio with no problem. Can't wait to review these myself... Good stuff
Hi, I wonder if you know the "output" and "light quality" comparison between W60 and the CL60.. I want to buy one but rather confuse :D (anyway I will use it only INSIDE my studio). Thanks!
Great that you considered the practical application of hot swapping the power source and found a flaw that a lot of people would have missed. I'd be pretty upset if that happened in a pinch.
I’ve always enjoyed your gear reviews because you are honest and show the good and the bad with whatever you’re reviewing. Perhaps companies should start sending you their products while in preproduction so that you can let them know what needs fixing before it hits the market. Because if anyone can break something, it’s you. :b
I got this set up 4 days ago without thinking... I used the handle to power my ATOMS V+ and replace my R5 cage handle... that handle/battery is awesome but that tacky old stick on texture stuff is already coming off the 1/4 20 side of mine now. NOTE I got the RGB version its still punchy at 60w
Thanks for the review ! I'm a Belgian videomaker. Honnestly the form factor is super convincing here but not having a bowens mount included is like a deal breaker. Same for Zhiyun. I don't want to have a lot of accessories for my shootings. I still haven't found a light that have theses 3 options : (Very) Portable Bowens mount included (no need any accessory) With a grip for external battery included on it or decent internal battery (like 50 minutes 100%). To me, the best options remains the amaran 60d that is doing a super great job :-) Still looking for a similar version of amaran 60d but with internal battery !
Yeah, it's hard to get a bowens on there without it causing a weak point, I imagine, with mounting the light with any decent modifier, so it leaves them having to go with an adapter typically I guess
you are a legend, I was about to buy it but when you tested two power inputs and shorted it that's really dinosaur age technology. sadly I won't be buying, I like their CL types and would have been nice to use one app for all :(. hopefully this won't get you blacklisted
Nice video for this Colbor W100, how about the RGB? and is there available of the Bowen adopter for this? thank you and Nice test and review i love this
Are you referring to the 60 bicolor one? If so, then that one is probably brighter if you're using the included reflector. This one is reasonable bright, but with the little mini reflector it's not getting as narrow a beam so the brightness readings are not as high. If you don't count that and want the 'by eye' opinion, I think it's a light you can certainly get things done with. It's main selling point is the slim design I think. So if you're happy with what you have, probably not a reason to upgrade to this one.
Thanks for the review!!! Reallly interesting light and thanks for the heads up! it is a shame they install a safety measure to prevent damage to the unit when plugging both usb and the electrical cord, knowing that many people ignore user manuals (which they shouldn't but... you know how people are) this will be a headache for Colbor sadly. The USB battery bank is actually a really neat idea!!!
@@johnmorrison7171 the connector is the same, however I 'm a bit worried since the grip extends considerably to the front. I 've ordered the Smallrig to use on Ulanzi L024. I' m not interested in Colbor right now, I 'm waiting for the W100R to be in stores. With mini bowens you can use different accessories, Ulanzi has announced new and bigger softboxes 40cm L066 and 60cm L068. These accessories are super light compared to standard bowens mount accessories. Yet I would love to use a 90cm softbox as I sometimes do with Zhiyun X100 + ZY adapter. Or strip softboxes.
Thanks for the honest opinion!🥰 Will improve soon!
Happy to hear that!
Please let us know the double power input fix and send it again to her to update us

@@FellowFilmmaker Yes, and people probably will put heavy soft box on it and could potentially break the tiny light
Thanks for the review. Would you happen to know if the mini bowens mount accessories from Zhiyun are compatible with the W100 and vice versa?

Which power Bank would be the right one for the colbor w100?
4:18 What is that AMAZING power bank you have there?! edit COLBOR PG99!
:D yeah it's pretty neat
Does it compatible with any power bank grip?
A reflector that has holes in the side.... yeah, no.
Sooooo they swagger jacked Zhiyun but added more features like the app and more accessories....COOL!
Lol, that's one way to look at it yes :) I'll have my thoughts on the two lights soon
Zhiyun has its own app and accessories
cool and interesting product!
Shame its not bowens mount...
Is there a mount adaptor so it can be used with regular light modifiers ? This is holding me back from these lights
Are they brighter than the godox sl 60?
Love your videos nice review good information all the test is what I am looking for
They should make a china ball attachment. Seems like it would make a great "lantern on a stick".
A great light for doc makers and people on the go. How Accurate was the color? Is this something that will need green/magenta shift?
You can see in the readings it does pretty good for accuracy :D
Bought the colbor 60L based on your review and they’ve been great, is this much brighter?

Perhaps it’s good in tight spaces, but too many compromises makes it awkward and limited to use
Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
Always ready for your reviews 🥰
Hope you enjoy!
Still leaning more toward the Zhiyun x60s rgb over this. but I'm glad they are competing.
Yeah for sure
I like that it does not have a built-in battery that will eventually fail.
Fair point

Yeah, I agree :) I would have loved a safety mechanism in there as well
Whoa, you look like that guy in FortNine(A Motorcycle RUclips channel) but with camera instead of motorcycle
lol thanks
How about the white elephant in the room? 👀
which is?
@@FellowFilmmaker that it looks too similar to Zhiyun x100 😂
Oooh lol, yeah, I know :D
great work as usual
Appreciate that
The battery is an awesome feature to power equipment
Yeah, super cool!
Can you get an Bowens adapter mount for this light?
Its not available yet, but I think they're putting it out soon
@@FellowFilmmaker Hope so, quick way to double there sales!
Check the Smallrig mini Bowens adapter.
@@someonereason Thanks, does it have the same connector as the Colbor? difficult to see in photos. Anyone tried it?

how long the battery lasted?
It's a 99wh battery on a 100w light, so it'll only get 50min maximum. If you use it at other power settings then it'll vary
@@FellowFilmmaker thanks! I will definitely go for this light. As a news shooter, this is great portable option.
That's an interesting little light!
sure is
I am visiting this channel after a really long time and i almost couldn't recognize her. What happened to her once pretty girl face?
