In this video I chat with the amazing artist "Lunatica" as we go over his recently released track "Robot Carnaval"! Together we go over the most important elements of the track & discuss each one in detail. We cover the whole track from intro to outro & dive deep into some creative uses of synths & FX. I hope you guys like this kind of deep dive & I would love to do more if you do!

Projektor is an alias I started around august 2019. Under this alias I started posting psytrance music with a clear emphasis on theming and a more progressive or mainstream style than other producers. The goal of the Projektor alias is to release memorable music which works well on the dancefloor. Around january 2020 I started posting tutorials and other helpful videos on youtube again under the Projektor alias. Together with these videos I started selling several products which can be used to improve your productions. I have always believed music production knowledge should be shared and that is now one of my main goals with the Projektor alias. Currently Projektor is the only alias under which I release music, videos or products but this might change in the future!

Thanks @projektor for hosting this, these kind of stuff is really helpful for producers. Thanks heaps to the guest for actually sharing his project. He is very excited to share his work and not hiding anything, which is great!

More of this stuff @projektor! This is very valuable content for us that already know the more basic stuff and want more insight in more experienced producers :)

That "sweet" chord really makes this track for me. Generally would love to see a resurgence in this sort of sound scattered throughout a whole track. Protonica vibes but fullon

Epic, shows you really don't need a million layers to create great music

What the? Are 38 tracks really considered few, and 50-150 tracks considered normal for psytrance? 😅
I guess it's beceause resampling and consolidating isn't that often used in that genre?
While it's not a genre I produce myself (But I do like a lot of the sounds), I still tend to be focused on sfx, textures, layers and variations in my productions. Mainly experimental, but also a bit of techno and house (could maybe venture into tech trance and progressive house. Would be quite natural for me to do actually).
It's not uncommon for me to end up with fewer than 16, or even fewer than 8 tracks in the end of a project.
I do have adhd afterall, so I do need to reduce mig track count by adding them together, to avoid overstimulation and lack of motivation 😅

38 would indeed be counted as very few, not because we don't do freezing or consolidating, but because it takes many many sounds to make psytrance... generally speaking tracks are 8 minutes long & every 16 bars at least you want something to change to maintain interest, so you would need a lot of sounds to do so...

@@Projektor_music That sounds like what I do. I need my variations, so that I don't get bored 😁
But I probably consolidate (by resampling) more layers or similar sounds into one track, than you guys do. But who knows 😊
Plus I like to commit to sounds, so that I don't get tempted to fine adjust things. It also clears my focus, so that I don't get too overhelmed and loose perspective 😅
Oh yeah, and most importantly, I currently use Live Intro, so only 16 tracks for me anyways 😆
I did use Suite (legally yes) in the past, but I just didn't use most of the devices and content. Actually the subconsious awareness of having all these possibilities at hand, just made my head tired. Also felt like wase of money.
I might upgrade to Standard 12 at some point though, if I feel that it'd be nessecary 😁
But yeah, people should just do things in the way that makes most sense to them. To avoid burnout as well.
Guidelines are fine, but personally I don't like to follow rules when being creative (most with adhd don't like rules in general). That'd just limit my output and very quickly burn me out instead 😅
