- Go onstage in 4K with Lord of the Dance Cathal Keaney and Dark Lord Zoltan Papp for a rehearsal of Hell's Kitchen, filmed entirely in one unbroken camera take!
Hell's Kitchen is the big clash of clans at the top of act two: it's the first time we see the Lord of the Dance and the Dark Lord in open conflict with each other, battling to an uneasy stalemate that promises more warfare to come. For Lord of the Dance's 25th anniversary tour, Hell's Kitchen has been updated: Michael Flatley's rhythm patterns are the same, but the formation choreography is much more intense, reminiscent of Flatley's later work in The 1916 Rising from Celtic Tiger. As with everything else in LOTD25, it's a wonderful blend of classic and new.
It's also fun to see Cathal Keaney and Zoltan Papp in action together onstage. Zoltan, at this point, is beyond any further superlative description we are capable of writing; as Michael Flatley states, he is simply "the Master". And it's really fun to see Cathal Keaney hold his own up against the Master onstage; Cathal may be the boy-next-door Lord of the Dance, but when it's time to throw down and be THE GOOD GUY, Cathal brings the business.
