Your advice about how to discern from your thoughts and real communication is enlightening! Among all the courses taken, this is what I needed to hear. I have many animals living with me and I usually get how they feel, but I need to be more constant and aware of all the times they communicate with me. One time, one of my cats was losing weight even if he was eating every day. And all of a sudden it clicked in me that he couldn't eat properly because he had no more teeth left as a consequence he was losing weight. As soon as I switched from dry to wet food, he regained his weight!
Wow, i am so grateful to have happened upon you both and this conversation. My ethics are grounded in compassion and connection, and yet i have very much found safety in my "thinky thinky" behaviours. At work i challenge this by leaning into somatics and emotions (i work as a psychotherapist) but i think i missed the mark transeffring this wholly to the animals I share my life with. Discovering this feels like an awakening and i am just so thrilled to see where more learning and practice leads. In gratitude, Justine
