I hope the pandas come back, China was very kind to let us have them on loan. I remember visiting them often and was sad when they left.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it kindness. San Diego was instrumental in captive breeding of Pandas and China certainly benefitted after almost destroying Pandas completely. They shouldn't be on loan. We should be able to keep a breeding stock and, maybe just maybe, start reintroducing them to the wild when China starts taking care of their countryside.

If they don't come back, let make another animal to be your fantasy animal. There are many animals need your attention and care.
No substitute, just create a new one. Hopefully, when you show your kindness to animals, you will feel good as you show your kindness to humans too.

Nope! Americans have conveyed a very clear message to the Chinese through the sad story of Yaya and Lele. You don't care about pandas as much as koalas. Just an exotic animal, a tribute from the eastern barbarians to the Empire.
If you really love pandas, fly to China to see them. Don't make them leave their natural habitat and spend the most part of their life in the confinement of a zoo to please human beings. Not to mention these human beings mostly, don't really care about pandas.

Nope I know the zoo made a ton of money but what happened to the rhinos that went to china -they disappeared. Sorry supposed to protect animals and this was not right.

San Diego, CALIFORNIA definitely has the Inside Advantage to receiving New Panda 🐼🐼🐼 Guests :
    1) Famous World Class Zoo that
    2) has Great Experience/Expertise handling the Loveable Creatures ! ...And
    3) It's on the Pacific Rim, which is what APEC was all about !
