Many users have reported getting a “Destination Folder Access Denied” error window when they try to copy, move or delete a file or a folder either locally, or from a shared resource. It mostly occurs when there are multiple users configured on a system, and/or after you have updated your operating system and are trying to modify an existing file or folder on your old operating system. The situation can be different, but issue’s root cause is the ownership properties of the target file/folder.
The error may say “Destination Folder Access Denied“, but the problem mostly is with the properties of the source folder. Follow our guide to troubleshoot it.

Every solution I’ve looked up has the first step after properties as click on the security. Which is probably the reason Windows 11 got rid of the security tab, so that we can never solve this again
im literally crying my eyes out at how frustrated I am I have all permissions + my account (the only account on the laptop) is an admin and it still wont allow me to replace the stuff in the folder whyyyyy
After adding everyone it is still unable to delete the read-on folder. The tutorial does not work.
Security bullshit in Windows drives me crazy. There should be a no-security mode for people who work in a one man office. I'm not in a nuclear missile silo so I don't need all of that extra security.

Great video, but when I click on the security tab for the folder it says it is unavailable or can't be displayed. How do I fix that?

This did not work for me but I was able to figure out that it was my antivirus preventing me from copying some crack files. After adding an exception to the folder in the antivirus softare the problem was solved. Thought it's weird that I was getting the Access Denied error because of this.

This tutorial exists because Micro$haft will NOT ALLOW owners who PAID for their OS to do _what they want!!_
I'm positive MILLIONS of hours of human life have been spent fighting Winblows trying to just be ALLOWED to use their own machine as they see fit. Since I "improved" Winblows 11 with the "final version", this 'new feature'/problem has appeared.
