Very inspiring young lady! Her persistence in the face of so many rejections, pushed her to try something out of the norm and go directly to the readers thru social media! There's a lesson there... Congratulations!!
I am SO excited about the new book. I can't wait for NightBane to be released so that my favorite yt book reviewers can make multiple hour long videos on it. I just finished a 7.5 hour long video on LightLark today and have watched an almost 4 hour long video on it multiple times since it released. That's how much I love content on Aster's books.
Can't imagine how amazing it would feel to get a book deal from being seen on social media. I'm so happy for her. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one.
@@jonathancampbell7798 she talks about the book a lot. Every weekend she also does QA on Instagram stories and answers questions about the book and the plot and anything readers want to know
because the books not great? Its so inconsistent, it doesn't make sense, the plot twists are only twists because they come out of nowhere and its just so stupid. The book was so overhyped and that alone is very suspcious.
@@jonathancampbell7798 I get that it was suspicious to get a 7- figure book deal out of nowhere and I recently figured out her twin is worth 220 million. I know that it is hard to understand because of the inconsistency and well u are right. I really wanted Chloe Gong to be on this show and also get a 7- figure book deal because her duology and spin-off with Rosalind were just soo good. The problem with Lightlark is that it is too complicated for no reason but at least she didn't ruin the story's idea. Booktok and book tube did a really good job leaving honest reviews of such an overhyped book.
The thing is that she doesn't have a movie being made, she just sold the right to make the movie. Universal, who IIRC bought the film rights, now has the exclusive ability to adapt the novel into a movie. No other film company will be able to make a Lightlark movie, but there is no guarantee that Universal will ever decide to make a Lightlark movie. It all depends on the reception of the book (not good so far) and if the company thinks a movie will be profitable.
I love love love seeing women persist despite setbacks and rejections

She was rejected becaus she was a child. Literally 12.
What the great show and great timing 😃👍🏿❤️

This is Amazing. Proud of her hard work. She never gave up.
Her dad and sister are literally multimillionaires. She didnt have to try.
@@HedonisticPickle, don't you just love how she makes it seem she came from rags to riches? Disturbing how she leaves out SO MUCH!
But I wish hosts would read the books before having authors on so that they can ask questions related to the book
The author almost never talks about the book, and the book has gotten very bad reviews once it was released.

Good for her. Sometimes the "Unicorn" thing happens. She made it happen and was one of the lucky ones.
Her sister is worth several million dollars. Having family connections goes a long way
I got it a day early at Walmart!!!
Love her, Lightlark 1 was soo good I wonder why ppl decided to hate on it. Now, I'm impatiently waiting for Nightbane to drop in November.

@@jonathancampbell7798 Also I left this comment to give her some motivation to continue writing and to write hype-worthy books 😅.
@@rudekat I applaud you for encouraging her despite your thoughts on the book. But I must say, she doesn't seem to need any more encouragement.
You have bad taste...
I can't wait for the movie, it be a brilliant dumpster fire.

The first book was bad, it had shoddy worldbuilding and really, REALLY boring characters, i have no faith in this second book.
Wow she's one tough Colombian woman. Her laugh is so cute though.
