  • This 5-minute product review covers the Deteknix Scuba Tector. I cover the functions and specifications as well as an onsite demonstration at a beautiful waterfall in Thailand.

    Best review on the Scuba Tector yet, Jason. Going through the settings was a plus also. LOL ,,, just call it The Quest Scuba Tector . Deteknis is hard to spit out sometimes. Great review and nice finds.

    I searched on ebay and its says 220 dollars , there is also a 170 dollars but made in china, can you please help me where of the two to choose?

      Revx0304 Bond so a quick search on Amazon shows real ones from Deteknix for around $170. I would never buy a Chinese clone product...ever...if I was expecting it to perform like the real deal.

      I keep replying from my other account, the homesick nomad. No go on Chinese copies.

      Yeah. In the video, I corrected my error with text overlay. I didn’t notice my mistake until I was already editing and didn’t want to reshoot. Ha. Thanks for watching.

    Dumb question
    Should I just get this instead of the Minelab Pin pointer ? About the prize

      Not really the same animal... a pinpointer/propointer is a very useful tool once you have dug your initial hole. I have the Garrett "Carrot" Propointer AT and I LOVE it. Have not tried the Minelab one at all. The Deteknix Scuba Tector is more for underwater detecting and is much easier to tote around than a full size detector. Of course you lose depth, but it is a blast to use this thing.

    what mode/sensitivity should i use?

    • @DiscoveredUnderGround
      @DiscoveredUnderGround  5 лет назад +1

      David Lim Wai Kit I typically go full sensitivity and use with vibration and the lite so even if I can’t hear or feel the detector, I can see the light. The vibration is not very strong.

      Dave N Japan did you watch the whole video? I explained that I got about 4-6 inches of depth at the maximum setting. Other claimed more, but I just did not see that in my searching.
