For anyone here for the tea about the Tim Dillon show - miss this episode. It is however a great episode talking about getting into anything as a newbie, getting started and dealing with the things your brain is lying to you about (imposter syndrome).
These two motherfuckers we’re checking their temperature. Now I don’t have the connect or pockets these TWO have - but that I could read. Like I’m sure all of you could! Glad you did this Nadav.
Ben comments about becoming a successful as producer is so truth. I'm from software engineering area and it is exactly the same. A lot of people get blocked with fear of failing and hurting their pride, they only study, while others hustle their way in with no knowledge, learn how to do it while getting paid and end up super successful. This probably applies to other types of professions too.
This was such a great ep, loved the talk and reverence for editing...hugely underrated skill. You know when the camera stopped rolling they talked mad shit about Bert and Tim.
Good shit, these interviews are going to be big for a huge part of a very specific demographic of people who are interested in such things. The shoutout to Redbans high ceiling club was hilarious too
As someone who has been a painter, designer, music-producer, and now a content-creator: What Ben said about it's never finished is absolutely true. You cannot let perfect become the enemy of the good. For my RUclips channel I'll pick a video subject specifically because it's going to be easy to put out, and I end up adding enhancements and edits and color correction and I spend so much time on the video that was supposed to be easy.
Lemon Party is honestly the best comedy podcast in the world right now. Even better than Cum Town. So consistently funny and entertaining with every single goddamn episode.
I loved Tim & Ben for years and couldn’t listen to it after he left. Just came off like an angry uncle ranting about nonsense. I don’t wish Ben well - I wish him the best and he deserves it.
Okay, as someone who has been producing music on and off for about 12 years. The notion of just going towards what you want to do, what you are driven to do is exactly how you should look at it. I’ve just recently felt like I’ve started to develop my personal sound. I’ve failed for years, I’ve taken multiple breaks for various amounts of time, but 3 months ago I got my first EP signed to a label that I respect. I also have taught myself data analytics over the last year and a half and I have 3 interviews next week for positions where I’d be doubling my current salary. There’s no time like the present.
While he doesn't call out Tim by name he basically called him a fake friend and complimented Shane Gillis for not forgetting his friends and giving them a platform to be successful.
Nadav 100% I like others are here for all of this and am certainly interested in going even further down the rabbit hole. Would be super interested in how your podcast is growing and what strategies you are implementing...when you get to 100K subscribers it will be great to hear your reflections on how you got there etc etc.

Bens a neat guy
absolutely loved this episode.
The Alan Alda with this one is so strong.
You know you’re down the podcast rabbit hole when you’re watching a podcast with two podcast producers talking about their experiences podcasting…
I was DOWN to 17 hrs a day average on YT this past week. 😮😂.. And they just keep adding more comedy podcast 🤯
STFU and sit down.
Yeah this is what Black Mirror is about
This is true podcastception 😂
I'm going to start a new trend called CastPodding
Thank you for doing this interview in person, and not on Zoom.
idk why Riverside isn't used more. Like it is legit a good platform. Not an ad I just like the product.
THE TWO BEST LAUGHS IN THE GAME
Lee Syatt laughing is hilarious too 😂😂😂
*Stavros has entered chat*
Two producers who sank a pod when they left…never underestimate the power of a laugh.
YMH was fantastic before Nadav's laugh and it is fantastic after Nadav's laugh, it just felt odd for a few weeks after he left.
They didn’t sink em The pods sunk themselves these two just got off the boat early
Spot on.
Tim Dillon is still on top of the world, lol

Thanks! Came here for one reason and thankfully only sat thru 3 minutes of this (on 2x) because of your comment
Youre a life saver, whats your patreon
Ben has implied that he has a NDA in regards to the Tim Dillon situation. So he never really talks about him
@@reellonely good to know!
Thank you. I’ll move on now 😂
Why not get into the split from Tim’s pod more, it’s why I clicked at least
I would suspect there's an NDA involved
Heck yeah! Was hoping this was in the works. Tim's podcast hasn't been the same since Ben left...
Couldn’t agree more
He’s still got some gas in the tank though. Tim’s getting his groove back. That p diddy shit gave him something to chew on comedically

i stopped listening after he left ..
I hope Timmy D and Benji can rebuild their bridge and Tim can have him as a guest.
man, the absence of ben on the tim dillon show really left a hole
And Tim’s not endowed enough to fill it
And we all know Tim Dillon is all about having his holes filled
Lucky for Tim, he loves a holes
A hole that can only be filled with racist jokes.

reach out to people you want to work with and make yourself valuable to them. That's all it takes to break into any industry, at any level.
I think we'd be more willing to adventure if we weren't led to believe we need to get certifications/degrees before we start something
Music is a lot like that
Great to see these titans of industry having a conversation. 💯💯💯
Keep going it, Nadav!!! You’re killing it and I’m here riding with ya.

Love how Ben tiptoed around the fact to not say Tims name. I love both of those bundle of sticks. Lol
Good dude. It would have been easy to shit on Tim. Says a lot about Ben.
@@bebox2495 maybe theyre still buddies

As a podcast producer, this is legitimately the most informative and helpful hour of information I have heard regarding the subject. Thank you
I can't describe it native but everything you put out is familiar and fun. Genuinely appreciate you taking the risk to do your own thing
Nadav! You get the guests that matter! These are two producer/laughers.
Glad to see these two doing well.

I love it when two sidekicks come together lol
Do one with Andres from Bad Friends! It'd be interesting and fucking miserable at the same time lol
Young Jamie would be an awesome interview
Thank you nadav for not stealing my information. Much love, this is totally unconfirmed news
This was excellent!
The two unsung hero’s of podcasts. I miss these two on their old pods. The Ben laugh is such a thing
Yup. I've been an audio guy for 15+ years. And I've been waiting for this episode for EVER
it's so heartwarming to see two formerly abused children share their stories of struggle and how they triumphed 🥰🙏
Genius idea getting together for this pod, boys. Much if not all of this can be applied to whatever it is your heart is guiding you to do.
Hearing Ben talk about all the bells and whistles is pretty great. He really loves what he does, and its awesome to listen to.
as someone who is currently crash coursing their way through producing their own podcast, this was immensely helpful. thank you guys
This was an excellent conversation
Glad to know this conversation exists between these two.
I want more podcasts by podcast producers like this. This was brilliant guys. You fucking rock.
A blue chew advert after those first few minutes is insane.
I love Ben’s advice and I like his process… refreshing to hear actually. Being creative and technical is a personal skill.
28:35 is like two straight minutes of really good advice.

I'm on the same boat. The covid years were peak podcasting.

Ben Avery dropping Faulkner and DFW in the space of 30 seconds like beast.

When does he talk about Tim
I know you left this comment five months ago, just so anyone else is wondering;
they don't talk about Tim
Ultimate troll job, gentlemen. Impressively executed.
Love Ben, so happy for all his success ❤

This was a very inspiring talk
A perfect podcast on how the sausage is made. I wish there were more honest conversations like this. Cheers boys
witnessing the evolution of the pod game is great, five years ago I would never have thought I'd be watching Nadav and Ben rip a cast together
Ben is hitting hard on Tim stealthily. Genius!
My favorite episode so far, very enjoyable listen. Thanks nadav & thankyou ben! 😊
Genuinely enjoyed this.
The 2 best producers EVER! LOVE YOU BEN AND NADAV!
Let's go lemon party 🍋
This should totally become a show. Would watch.
This was so good got alot of good things from this, thanks guys
26:47 Ben dropping little nuggets of gold here
I genuinely did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I relate more to this than when the actual hosts of their podcasts are talking
Why didn’t you press him on the thousands of accusations of sexual assault against his co host Devan Costa?
Nadav's laugh sounds just like Krumm from Ah Real Monsters.
Solid episode, liking the evolution of the show.
Not a surprise that Tim's show took a major nosedive once Ben bounced. Good to see him on here.
I'm glad they split, but Tims views are up massively, like by 70%. I don't think it's going anywhere.
God I love Ben Avery. Legend.
this was SUCH a good episode.
Just subbed was not a YMH watcher came here bc ben . Loved the the interview
