If people don't take critics seriously why are RUclipsrs making videos about them often apparently it must be bothering them that much to hear a critics not liking a movie you like
Thing is, it's actually a pretty diverse movie all things considered... But it's actually *fun*. Disney has been trying to make everyone believe fans are various shades of -ists and -phobes, when we just... hate unfunny garbage. No one but a tiny minority of shrieking activists cares how many oppression points your protagonists hit. Just hire people who want to tell *good stories*, FFS. No one likes movies that try to """educate""" (scold) you. It was true for fire and brimstone Christian movies a few decades back, it's just as true for this garbage.
One thing I've learned is that 95% of what the critics love and rave about is steaming piles of crap. The more the critics hate it, the better it probably is and the more I'll enjoy it. Loved Deadpool and Wolverine, first marvel movie in YEARS that didn't end with me wanting back the time I spent watching it!
The fans are the fans, and they will NOT BE shamed, or react out of shame. If you want their money, you will sell them something they DESIRE to have. It's not a COMPLEX relationship.
Sometimes fans have different interpretations of the same material and tear themselves apart over not agreeing with any interpretation that isn’t their own
I don't think the person who wrote this review stayed for the credits. Because the footage of marvel movies from long ago set to Time of Your Life. This movie was a celebration of the characters that were lost along the way. One last Hoorah for the ones who were forgotten because of the mergers.
Go show your support for Deadpool and Wolverine, probably the best Marvel movie in years. Plus, "fans service", yeah because entertainment is meant to serve the fans. It seems Hollywood has forgotten that.
For films like Deadpool and Wolverine especially, the opinions of the critics do not matter. Was Deadpool and Wolverine an Oscar worthy masterpiece of a film? No. Was I expecting an Oscar worthy masterpiece of a film? Also no. I went to watch this this movie wanting laughs, violence, meta humour and heart. I got all of that and a lot of it so I for one was more than happy with it.
100%. Reminds me a conversation I had with a friend about the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter film a few years back. He went in expecting a dark, serious film, while I went in expecting exactly what it was: a fun, high-budget B movie because some concepts are just too silly to work if treated too seriously.
My mom is by no means a superhero type of gal. (aside from adam west batman since that was her childhood) and when we seen deadpool and wolverine she absolutely loved it. She might notve felt the nostalgia like i did with all the cameos but she couldnt stop laughing, im glad we had such a good time since this is something we dont do that much as mother and son. Loved this video, subscribing.
How, exactly, is that a problem ? Seriously. How is it a problem is Deadpool *is* Deadpool and not Spiderman ? Why do critics and journalists hate it when things are made for the GENERAL audience instead of the smallest audience possible ?
We live at a time where fan service is deliberately being taken away and inadvertently shit that makes that movie good. Not to mention Deadpool does meta humor better than most whatever subversive shit released the past few years.
Proof critics hate just to hate and get reactions out of others. This is why you don’t listen to critics, you listen to audiences. Edit: Congrats on 600K subscribers!
As a fan of the Deadpool movies, this person doesn’t speak for me. I genuinely don’t think they’re even a fan of Deadpool in the first place, like since when was fanservice a bad thing? FFS if they really meant what they said then Into The Spidervers should’ve been god awful to them.
I’ve read quite a bit of Deadpool comics. These three movies have been the most Deadpool that any Deadpool movie could hope to be! Absolutely loved all three of them.
God forbid we have a silly and fun movie that was intended to be silly and fun actually BE silly and fun. No, it must have a 'message' and constantly shallowly laugh at itself and be 'empowering' all the time.
Dumb Journalist: "Hollywood...this movie sucks" Fans: "But we like it. It's fun, and funny." DJ: "Fans deserve 'better'...." Fans: "Dude, we just want to be entertained. Shut up"
You must see it. It’s not a good movie, it’s an awesome movie. Went with a friend who only has seen the Deadpool movies but not X-Men or MCU movies and she loved Deadpool & Wolverine
I have literally heard people complaining persistently that Deadpool's friends and family cannot matter as people he wants to save because they're not in the movie enough. This is in the same breath where they say Blade just sat around doing nothing the whole movie. People are going full retard with this movie for some reason, even Mauler just turned his brain off and seems to hate everything about this movie for no reason. It's bizarre.
I absolutely love this movie, I just saw it a second time today. Any time I see even youtubers I like trying to say the story was weak, or the TVA making them hate how it reminded them of Disney, I think they all are failing to understand what Deadpool is. It's fun, it's exciting, and it's hilarious. I don't watch Deadpool movies to get a story anywhere close to Logan or Winter Soldier. I don't see characters like the TVA and think they're meant to be anything but to be made fun of. And most of all, it just feels like it's written and made by those who actually love comic book characters, who respect their stories. Deadpool and Wolverine is currently my favorite out of the 3, and will likely be the one I rewatch the most when it's on DVD. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were such a sight to behold!
I've watched it 6 times so far. 5 time pirated, but seeing the 3D version is 200% worth it. I'm tired of Green Day's politics but seeing the BTS of the entire marvel universe was very heartwarming.
If they say the story was weak, say they have no media literacy. The surface level storyline, isn't the story. It's the story of Disney and the Fox merger.
So, without really going into a lot of detail... I feel like this film serves more as a vehicle for two things: 1) To finally start bridging the gap between X-Men and Avengers continuities. Introducing both core and ancillary characters to gauge interest. 2) Literally giving Hugh Jackman back to the role in order to be the primary vehicle for the above. I honestly don't even care if we never see Reynolds back as Deadpool. If you pay attention to the interviews, the PR, anything leading up to this where Ryan and Hugh are together, I get a deep sense that Ryan is paying it forward in a way that allows Jackman to shine as Logan again to massive success. Reynolds has mentioned on more than one occasion that he atrribues his success to Jackman giving him a chance on Origins. He remembers this as the turning point in his career, and that he might not be where he is now without it. That's a kind of reverence that can only be returned in kind.
I'm certain 99.9% of people in the comments agree with you... Unfortunately, the 0.1% is now 'weighted' differently (no corruption here btw), so we're keeping it! Have a nice day! 😃
I'm not going to lie when I saw this I thought you were talking about how bad it was but then I looked at it and I reread it I was like oh okay we're talking about only critics😂😂😂😂
Feel like people love this movie because in all honesty it allows people to nerd out like as soon as I saw certain characters. I knew just so many cameos a moment or two of red herrings. it’s why people love Deadpool. so many references that I’m sure it would take a few watches to notice All of them and that’s a big seller.
I legit could not breath at the "You're gonna live" sequence. Won't spoil it for anyone that's not seen it, cause you should, but everyone who watched the movie knows what I'm referring to. COULD NOT BREATH! Would see again!
Imagine how damn good this movie was even knowing ryan and the director got ENDLESS pushback from the Studio. If you know anything about how Disney was originally going to make this movie, fucking She-Hulk and Captain Marvel were going to girl boss this shit into low ratings.
"It fits for Guardians of the Galaxy. It knows how to be comedic." And it was great. Every single character in every single show and movie that came afterwards written with the same GotG comedy energy? Not so much.
The movie industry successfully corrupted the critics on rotten tomatoes. And the studios successfully corrupted rotten tomatoes user database several years ago. Some movies have hundreds of pages of different users saying the exact same words praising the film. And we know rotten tomatoes deleted negative comments. Rotten tomatoes is basically part of the marketing arm of the studios at this point. Their job is not to review movies but to sell movies to you in return for advertising revenues.
When she says those things about people coming to see the movie because of the character deadpool it reminded me of a book I have been reading about story and character creation. The main point that book tried to get across is that some stories don't need good plotlines if the characters are good enough to carry the weight of the movie. (the book referenced is Hirohiko Araki's Manga in theory and practice)

Got to watch this film with my teen daughter and we both loved it! Seeing her react to a topless Wolverine was hilarious and as her father I will tease her mercilessly for it! We don't expect Marvel or DC films to copy D&W's style of comedy and action as it isn't a good fit for all "Hero Movies" but it would be nice to see future films actually honor the "spirit" of D&W. It's just sad to see the great joyous film that is D&W and then realize that for the next two years all the upcoming Marvel films and shows will just be a continuation of the droll "Phase 5 Dive" that we have been witnessing. For films like Deadpool and Wolverine especially, the opinions of the critics do not matter. Was Deadpool and Wolverine an Oscar worthy masterpiece of a film?
I feel like this film serves more as a vehicle for two things:
1) To finally start bridging the gap between X-Men and Avengers continuities.
The thumbnail scared me for a second

Nobody pays any attention to the critic's score on rotten tomatoes anymore. They are so out of touch with the audience that it's shocking.
