My wifes grandfather was a Texas ranger and later a kansas judge. We have his 1919 1894 saddle ring. In 30-30 this is a great rifle . Slim and fits like a glove . We use it all the time .
I bought the same rifle in .45 long colt (Model 94ae Trapper, 16" barrel). Mine was manufactured in the late 90's, so it has the crossbolt safety that you say you hate. I don't mind it so much since as I live with all women (the only man in the house), and they like it. We live in the country, so I take 5 shots after work every evening, a I hit a 5X5 inch steel plate from 50 yard nearly every time. As long as you're not neurotic, that thing is insanely accurate!
High quality rifle. Even in the “post 64” I have never seen or heard of any fail. I have a few of them. Cross bolt safety is least desirable IMO but not a deal breaker.
First name Last name no kidding, I have one in 45 colt, the cross bolt safety broke on mine, I did not replace it since it has a rebounding hammer so no problem
For folks that say they're overrated, u obviously haven't spent time on the range with one. They can be and usually are very accurate ex specially with the new Hornady ammo. Light and fast too. It don't get no better. Now shut up we are burning daylight.
I have a slight preference for the Marlin 1894, but in no way is the Winchester 94 a bad gun, it is still one of my favorites, super accurate and light weight, although I am a bit of a baby when it comes to the recoil since I have mine in 44, its a gun that I would never get rid of.
Awesome gun, I have mine in 44, one of my relatives keeps offering to buy it and I keep telling him no. I remember I went to Big 5 years ago and they only had a 44 left after it was announced that the factory that made them here in the US was shutting down. How I wish I was able to get the 357, 45 Colt and 30-30, oh well. Fortunately I was also able to get a Winchester 1300 defender with a wood stock even though those are easier to come by than these old 94's.
A scope on this is rediculas it’s a bush gun and a scabbard on the side of of horse the safety on a tang isn’t bad but the half cocked and the pin behind trigger so wen the lever is pulled all the way up so it hits the pin and frees up trigger
I don't like the Tang safety because I like the Tang sight. Putting a scope on a lever action is sacrilegious a aperture sight is the way to go. Thanks
Beautiful weapon. I have one made in the 70s but I never used it. I do use my Marlin chambered in 357. I would like to have the one chambered in 44 mag or 30 30. Enjoyed your video.
Heard you mention, maybe purchasing a Model 92....Great choice, i had many model 94's, i enjoyed, till i got my first model 92 in .357 mag. ..I got the Rossi, which has a great reputation for well over 30 yrs now,,,Very well made, fit and finish, are very good.....great accuracy , and durability. Shorter lever throw, for much quicker handling than a 94,, Much better price than a japan made 92, which isnt made by winchester anyway, only has their name put on it. Taurus now makes the Rossi.
If you consider shooting up critters you should not own if your not eating it don’t kill it bottom line shoot takers you don’t need to kill anything that’s cruel unless you are eating
The most underrated riffle .....and the most beautiful in my opinion
I love all lever action Winchesters! American legend!!!
I have never heard anyone overrate the 94. It is a trustworthy, handy, and reliable rifle that is fun to shoot. No one can deny any of these things.
Very slick carbines. That's a real nice one.

Putting a scope on a 94 is a crime ..... open sight deer hunting that's the way to go....
I have a 66 and never had a problem with it .... light, handy, small, in 30-30 it is a good riffle
I LOVE THESE GUNS! Always have. There is NOTHING like a Winchester.

i have this very same trapper but in a .44 mag. It is my go to rifle and just a great all around good time shooter.
Those Miroku winchester are high quality
I had a 94 AE trapper in 30-30. Was made in 1993. Awesome gun. Wish I still had it

pistol rounds in rifles are a smart combo 357, 44mag, 45colt and have enough range to take out most anything that breaths !😎
Donald Harrison
Yeah those magnums really come alive in a rifle barrel. Velocities exceeding 2000fps is serious medicine
Beautiful lever gun man. Ive got to get me one .

best gun ever
I just found a 94AE from 1984, w/o that stupid bolt safety. Great rifle, wished i had found one earlier.
I have one of these in 45 Colt. It's a lot of fun to shoot!
I like both in their own way. I like they tight quality feeling of the marlin, and the loud cowboy like nature of the winnie.
It may not be a pre-64 but it doesn't have to be either,

because on my winchester, i use a tang peep sight. and like it alot. also, to me, cocking a hammer back is more convient for me.

Nice video. Just to add - the Miroku Winchester quality isn't pretty good, it's outstanding. Fit and finish, especially the bluing, is great.
You don't get a background check for this since it's pre 1898 ?

Enjoyed your video.
Thers a 16 and a 20 in the smaller carbine am I right is ther more different sizes how many does this hold 6 and 1
the 336 marlin has a very high production #. and the 870 remington
What's the best experience ammo you've used with this 94?
i know guys who love the 357 and has several hand guns in 357 and shoot 38 with them too. would go for a rifle like this.
if you enjoyed it, it was worth making.
how would you compare it to the henrey?

j'en n'est déjà eu une comme ça!! je l'aimais bien..
Did you say you like shooting critters for fun?! I was taught you kill it you eat it.
You don’t shoot nothing you don’t eat unless it is going to eat you in self defence and you could prob scare it ther not right with a scope
I wish I were able to hear your video a little better. Thanks
muy bueno para la caza del venado ..y el oso...perfecto hasta 300metros.
What year is that rifle
ola uma pergunta que gostaria de saber qual a melhor winchester a 92 ou 94? obrigado
mas gente prefiere 92 ......
why is that?
94 AE not E A Hense the "A"ngled "E"jection
tang safetys suck. im a fan of the half cocked hammer.
Did you propose to the rifle yet?? Lol just kidding
If you consider shooting up critters you should not own if your not eating it don’t kill it bottom line shoot takers you don’t need to kill anything that’s cruel unless you are eating
You sure like to hear yourself talk, don't you?

Anything after 64... is junk.
Bullshit. Mine was awesome, solid as a rock and accurate. Beautiful finish, small light powerful.
