Interesting video! This gun was made on 8/26/01. I'm surprised to see an original brake...we mostly machined them all to the "Shark Brake" port configuration which works MUCH better. And as to the bipod...we don't use that style of mount anymore (M-60 type), but we definitely have the parts so we could make up and sell an old style bipod.

The man, the myth the legend and gun nut himself! Thanks for watching!
Ya man, still has the shotshow tag from 2021.
I actually reached out to you all last July/aug about the bipod and was told you were in a middle of a move, but would keep me on a list if you all ever found the parts.

Well I thought it was a shot 2001, maybe not if it was made in aug 2001. But ya, I’m interested in the bipod if you all can still do them.

I know this video is 5 mos old but, is there any particular reason you got the bfg-50 over the rn-50? I'm asking because next month I plan on ordering the rn-50 w/ 36" barrel.

So a viewer sent this in, this wasn’t mine. I personally like the bolt versus the break open personally. If I got one it would be the bolt single shot.

I ordered an RN-50 like 2 years ago. Then when my order was to be run in the next batch I notified serbu i wanted to upgrade to the BFG-50 as i figured my chance at a bolt action was only $1k away. So I coughed up the remaining balance to get the BFG-50. I’d be lying if I said i wasn’t a little apprehensive about the RN after the Kentucky ballistics incident. Chances are I’d be fine but I probably wouldn’t have a chance at a bolt action for many more years if I spent my wife allowance on the RN. If it brings a smile to your face the RN is great!

@@draufganger620 ya, even with this one, that Kentucky ballistics is in the back of my mind lol….
This one is special, if I remember correctly, it was manufactured in 2001. what even cooler is that there is a yellow tag on the trigger guard, it shows shot show 2001 so that is super cool.
Down side, they do not have any more bi pods for this version so that sucks…
I’d love to get the semi auto one day.

      A shot show participant…that’s cool!
Yeah I had my angst up from with the BFG even though none exploded to my knowledge. And I’m not half the man as Mr Kentucky ballistics so I’d never survive a catastrophic failure like he did. But I’ve grown to trust it, sort of.
I hear ya. I’ve got my sights on the BFG-A. It’s in my 10 year pipe dream plan. They are a great guns and rather accurate by all accounts.

@@draufganger620 I think with KB, he was playing with crazy SLAP rounds though…. He went on to blow up other guns so it really was the over pressure that caused the issue…. But still, I think about it with each trigger pull lol

Is there any issue shooting this lefty?

Pulling the trigger probably not, you will have to cycle using your right hand though.
