100 percent agree. Same with fast paced nes games like double dragon and river city ransom. Almost everyone takes liberties and its always disappointing to me. Not that I can even play thier versions nevermind the original.

There are other cover versions out there, but the only other good one I could find was by Nemistade, which is great but he takes a few liberties with chord progression and melody in the solo section, and I prefer how you perfected the original.

What I like about that cover is that you played it 1:1 with newer instruments, thus making a cleaner-sounding version of this song.
This deserves more views compared to the other covers. Kudos for not pussing out on the solo either. Hardly anyone who covers this song on youtube covers the solo completely.

Always find myself coming back to this. Solo is done incredibly well but what really gets me are the triplets you add at 1:45. Adds a nice variety and an extra layer of aggression onto an already killer track

That solo was nearly perfect! Aside from a wrong note at 2:16 (pedantry powers activate!) and one or two tiny little bits where you didn't quite get to the note you were going for, or left it too soon, it was flawless, and the first time I've seen someone cover the entire thing to this degree of accuracy.

The cadence of this cover makes it sound like the battle music for a Star Ocean game and I love it.
So far it's the best cover (the most faithful one to the original version) of Running From Evil on youtube. There is also a cover made by Nemistade, but the famous solo ( 2:13 ) doesn't sound right there.
Your version brings back the memories of the first shareware releases of Doom 2 on BBS's, back in 1994, when I was 11 years old. Great stuff.
