Rene, I recently found you again .. and I am stuck at home 24/7. I am 63, and became crippled in 2017, after a failed back surgery.I can still get around with my walker. Thank God. I can still cook . I could watch you cook 24/7. Something about you.. brings me so much peace... and I made your jumbo peanut butter cookies last night. And sent them to my grandbabies today. They love them . I live in Biloxi, Mississippi. Just wanted to say hi!!! How I wish you were my neighbor!!!! ❤❤❤
My favorite thing when the weather starts to cool is using the oven for all the casseroles-skillet meals-sheet pan dinners and lots of baking! Why more people don’t start to finish in a skillet🤷♀️. Why transfer to a casserole dish and dirty more dishes? I’m a skillet girl as much as possible too! Love all these yummy recipes!!!
Hi Friend, this video I started watching late last night. Finished watching it this morning. You’re like a magician. So creative with all your cooking. Loved each casserole. Lots of great ideas for all of us. Thanks for listening. 🤓💜
Hi Ms Rene, I would like to share something with you that I know you already know but this will save the blades on your knives. I'm sure a lot of people know this but maybe there are some new Cooks out there. After you chop your ingredients, if you would scrape the items off the cutting board or what ever you use, if you were to use the back of your knives and not the blade side your knives will stay sharper longer. These 5 casseroles look delicious. Love your channel@!
One of the best tips I learned from you is the paper towel to absorb grease. Thanks for the cream soup recipes. Very helpful. That chicken and vegetable casserole is tonight dinner. The other casseroles look just as good
You my dear have once again out did yourself. Those casseroles look soo darn good! John and your kiddo's are lucky to get your awesome cooking all the time! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Renee my mother made hers like this and it is wonderful 1 whole cut up chicken 5 cans of soup cream of chicken, chicken broth, chicken and stars, chicken and rice, and chicken gumbo you mix all soups together and add 5 cans of water heat on stove and add some wylers chicken bullion 6 cubes or 4 or 5 teaspoons of granules in a casserole dish add rice not instant to bottom of dish lay chicken pieces on rice and then add some of the soup to about top of the casserole raise chicken pieces up and let soup get under the chicken bake in 350 oven for an hour or until rice is done and chicken is cooked through you have to check on it and add more soup if rice is not done it is the most wonderful chicken and rice you have ever ate
Good Afternoon, Renea . Thanks for sharing your delicious . Five casserole dishes . I did not know that chicken soup . And cream of mushroom soup . Was so easy to make . Can soup is so outrageous priced . The Good Lord Bless .You And Family. 💖🙏💖
Wild rice is all hyped up here in MN. I mean yeah, it's nice, but when I boil it and dump out refuse it smells like swamp water. HA! Don't bite the hand that feeds me. ha! always enjoy your shows. Instantaneous like. friendly in MN.
You always make something I've got to immulate. I often tell folks, "I'm not the best cook, but I ain't killed nobody yet!" LOL So I depend on good cooks to copy from. And, you know, Ms Renee, I don't know which makes me smile the most, I love being "in" your kitchen, but I also love hearing your family in the background. You can tell they love being in your home. We have one son still here with us, but we have a daughter (and our grands) and a son in Texas, and a daughter in Tennessee (we're in Indiana). I was blessed to have most of them home for a few days this summer-and it sure blessed this Mama's heart. Blessings to you in Michigan.
Yay I found you! I ran over my phone with my mower. Lol. And had to get a new one, well i didn’t remember any of my passwords and had to start over. Lord what a challenge. Lol. ❤❤❤
Renee I enjoy watching your videos and I know what it is like cooking from scratch cause that’s the way I cook for my family .. it’s like your making dishes of love from your heart for them to enjoy eating and it takes time but not so much that you don’t enjoy cooking cause it just makes you feel like yes it’s worth cooking from scratch. Your family and any family who has a member cooking from scratch is Blessed to eat all the yummy made from scratch delicious food that they cook up . I have made my homemade cream of soup up just like you did yours except sometimes I add just a pinch of chicken (powdered) bullion into the chicken cream of soup or a little beef (powdered) bullion into the mushroom cream of soup . I know that going the extra mile to make up your own cream of soup is absolutely worth doing ..it really bumps up the flavor in the recipes you use it in . It’s just a little extra work but worth it and making it ahead and being able to pull it out of your fridge to use in your dishes is fantastic .. it’s nice knowing exactly what’s in your food and like I said it makes a more delicious tasting dish and all I can add to that is to just say to remember it’s in your fridge so use it up within 3 to 5 days after you make it up ! Thank you for sharing all your delicious recipes. Blessings 💕
These casseroles look so good! I love the ideas you share. And these are just in time for the more fall-like weather we're finally having this week. I think these would all freeze well so they'd be ready to thaw and bake on another day without making the mess again. Thank you for another great video!
In regards to rude people who like to influence others that the way they cook is the only way to do it in a rude comment to a RUclipsr that is showing us how she makes a recipe is to say to you : allow folks to cook the way they want to and you cook the way you want to ! I bet not everyone wants to cook like you do either. RUclipsrs are only showing us how they cook not influencing you to cook it exactly like them . Renee did mention in the video to add to it anything you would like to put into it .
Renee I like that you cook good ideas to help cook ahead. Looks really good. Just have started watching you the past week and will definitely continue!
Hey Renee!! I'm excited to see you! I made 16qts of homemade chicken soup. Also I used up my frozen triple berry fruit and made a dump cake/ cobbler like cake. It was delicious!!!
Hi Renee! I love watching you in your kitchen. If we lived closer, I'm sure we could be close friends. LOL I was wondering if you could freeze the cream of soup recipe. I don't always think of making it fresh when I need it. Keep up the great work. Love how food is your love language, mine too.❤
Salt actually lowers the boiling point (temperature) of water; it doesn't make it take longer to boil. Basic laws of water and chemistry. Love what you make AND your gas stove. I'm a bit jealous of it, as there's no natural gas where I live.
The recipes all look delicious. I will definitely be trying them out. I am especially excited about your mac and cheese recipe. My mother used to make it the same way, but she could never tell me exact measurements because she never measured anything, and it always came out perfect. Thanks so much for the recipes! ❤️
I used to make these hash brown's many, many years ago. I totally forgot about them, and i loved them. I only used them to make hash browns, but om going to make this casserole in the next few days. It looks so good.
I love your videos and your energy! Can we help you buy a ring light so your kitchen shows more? I don't even have one but I'm not producing yet, lol I would just love to see you more lit up!
Greetings TRenee. Just found your channel by happy accident. You have a really great down home style that I love. I just subscribed and look forward to your future videos. Thank you!😇😇

I dehydrate my own hash browns from frozen. Very economical using Walmart frozen 4lb bags. 8 bs will fit in the Excalibur dehydrator. These casseroles look yummy!!!
Thanks for the great recipe ideas. I’ve been making meals in jars from recipes I got off the Freeze Dried Foodie channel. I think I can convert your ideas into meals in jars they all sound delicious!
Hi Renee that looks like a fantastic meal 😊 I want to make that 🌭🍞🍕🌮🍧 hope you and your family enjoy that meal and have a great day 🦋🌅🦋 and stay blessed 🙏❤️🙏

Hi Ms. Renea... I make my own cream-of-somethin' soup mix too... I'm just wondering when you say what you made in this video is the equivalent of 2 cans of cream of "whatever" soup... is that the equivalent the before or after equation? As in just straight from the can without being reconstituted? Just wanting to be sure. Ahhh, I jumped the gun with my question. You answered it in your 4th casserole recipe. Thank you. Now I know. (I made my comment before watching to the end of your video only because I didn't want to forget to ask you... so sorry🤦♀😉) Loved this video with all the wonderful comfort food casseroles. It's definitely that time of year around here... 45 degrees right now. Do you do much with winter squash and pumpkins? Just curious...

It was a gift from a friend years ago.

I'm going to try making the homemade cream soup. And since I'm not a big fan of mixed veggies, I'll add chopped broccoli to my casserole. Really enjoy watching you cook.
The chopped broccoli would be delightful in the casserole.
Thanks ❤
💜💐🌸💐💜
The chicken rice casserole at the beginning , you said oven was set at 375. Later you said 350 . Which one honey.
Did u use long grain or instant rice
I used long grain rice.
Hi Renea, I'm from Australia not able to source dehydrated potatoes plenty of hash browns . Can you suggest anything else please ? 😊
You can use the frozen hashbrowns (thawed) Or you can grate fresh potatoes.
@@LittleVillageHomestead thanks Renea 😊
Do you rinse your rice before cooking? I don't, but I've seen others doing it.
Sometimes I do.
You should.
Thank you very much for the video. Sooo helpful. Do you think I could dp something besides the sour cream?
Plain yogurt?
I guess the mushrooms just magically appear in the chicken and rice casserole, LOL!
Hey Rene... Have you ever canned ground beef for casseroles??? plus I can ground sausage, Church ken, turkey
Yes I have. I like it either way.
Do you have a dry mix for cake mix please
Can you freeze the cream soup?
Renee what is written on your door casing ?
You say you can’t can the cream soup because of the dairy. Wondering if you can freeze it?
I can’t eat mushrooms..so I substitute with celery soup
Question HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO GRAB YOUR FROZEN ONIONS? I ask this as I have cut up fresh in individual baggies and it is an ice block
I smack mine on the counter and break them up.
Renea can you freeze the cream soups
I wish we could but they tend to separate and turn grainy and not very good. But you can freeze the rest of the soup and add the cream when you reheat it.
Hi Renea! If you were to eat the cream of chicken/mushroom as soup would you add water or milk to it? Am I correct in assuming what you made would be considered condensed?
Yes you are right and yes you would thin it down with milk or water. You could also add bits of cooked chicken in the soup too.
Awesome! It sounds delicious and I'll have to make some! Thanks for the reply!@@LittleVillageHomestead
Where do you buy your dehydrated hash brown
Sam's Club. It is the cheapest place I have found to buy them.
Your casseroles look good but I am not a big meat eater so I like my casseroles without meat. I make the copycat Cracker Barrel Hash Brown casserole and my family loves it. Now most but not all of them like meat.
Plus I have canned bacon & bison.
