Wow Herman played ritual beasts? Thats cool to see a top caliber player like him play the deck i've never given up on since 2015. Surprising because it seems like all the well known top players avoid playing this deck...like lithium2300 in cross banlist ;P
I hate to say it but a lot of the new crop of RB players, that haven't played them since 2015 really don't seem to realise bonds can make the link 4 and just write it off. There's certainly a lot of group think going on because as you correctly asses it's really good BECAUSE of that interaction alone.
It's only good if you already have ways to plays and it's not necessary to do the combo. Also, you don't want to cheat out link 4 because then it can't be reborn by your normal summons.
