Such a helpful video, thank you. So glad that the night market business owners are getting back on their feet. My hope is that those who had to close will be able to reopen for the busy season. The floods were so devastating in/around Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. My heart breaks for the many who lost their homes and everything in them. You just have to start over life, and many of those people were not young...
Tony, last week I checked out the flood areas and was amazed at how much was cleaned up, already. Hopefully many of the homes and businesses will be back to normal, again.
If anyone is visiting Chiang Mai during this time, we apologize if you encounter a lot of garbage bags scattered around, many items left on the roadside, dust, dirty areas, or the inconvenience of shops being closed. Chiang Mai has just experienced the worst flooding in 50 years, and the city is working hard to clean up. It is recommended to stay or travel outside the city center for a better experience.
Im going to be visiting for a week in the middle / end of November.. next month 😀 im going to go to w new market every single day and the weekend market is love vendor food lol
Thanks for this update. Will be in Chiang Mai in two days. Really looking forward to it

Sounds like an awesome plan!
I heard that the elephant sanctuary was destroyed. Is there any way to see elephants?
There are ones that are open like elefin farm
They have the music so loud that it is overmodulating and the speakers are reverberating and the music sounds terrible.
What would you pay for an hour massage there?
Normally between 300-400 baht for an oil massage, a Thai massage will be less.😊
Do you have a secret place for the lateen festival. The tickets are super expensive
You will only need tickets for very few events. You won't need em.
@@TheNarrowGate well being close to where the lanterns going up you need ticket. I did the river boat drive but that isn’t the same
Don’t the city, Have the Bolt taxis app ?
Yes, you can hire Grab or Bolt drivers via an app on your phone.
Did the floods reach your house? I hope they did not.
We did not get any flooding at our home, thanks for checking!!! 😊🙏🏻🇹🇭
What part of the city do you live in?
Hang Dong
