@Javier Zachariah Yea, I have been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
I got my worms from Gregg and made my worm bed totes from his instruction video. Worms arrived perfect and doing fantastic. Thanks Gregg.
Genius. Bought 5 lbs. of 🪱worms from Gregg several years ago. They just keep on mulching and reproducing. They're sorta like pets cuz you start to really care for the worms and their habitat.
Mr. Greg that was a great video. I am so glad I ordered my worms from you. They showed up in the mail in great shape and now I have tripled from what I started with. Since April the 4th when I got them I have got 2 gallons of castings and like I said the population has tripled. Thanks for all you teach us.
My daughter and I made two raised beds. We paid $50 for a pick up truck load of dirt. It’s good rich looking dirt. It’s full of worms. Added compost and potting soil. Mixed it up. It full of worms. Plus the kids take flashlights out at night and find more worms for the garden plants are doing great. Thank you for your videos.
I just think that you as smart as whip Mr. Greg!! They don't make like you no more
Wow, good job on that build. A man who knows how to get it done.
Nice demo 👍🏻
Thank you for this video. I loved seeing the trommel in action.
Thanks Greg ,I enjoyed it greatly
That was very interesting.Worms and Casting a very important part of gardening. Plentiful in MI where I grew up. But not all States are the same, most are deprived of rich nutrients.
I liked the way you invented your separator, great job. Thank you!
You're a great teacher, thank you!
Right!? He covers just about everything we would need to know
About worms that is
Very interesting. I like the homemade equipment.
I love your videos and personality! I just bought some worms from you :)
Nice build
My ole pappy, built a something similar to this but it shells peas , a 5 gallon of shelled peas in less than 30 minutes, so a 55 gallon drum equals 5 gallon of purple hull peas😁 that I have canned over 200 quarts🤗
Like to see that!!!
Thank you for the very informative video.🐛🌱
You mister are craziest wizard I subscribe :D Lots of useful info as usual.
Thanks!
Thanks for the info 🍻🌱✌
What a cool machine!! Love it!
Thanks for the demo Greg. I ordered some worms from you last spring and have had them in totes and they are doing. They are multiplying like crazy and am needing to get them into something larger.
I know you are constantly busy working on projects but can you please do a video on how you build your outdoor wooden bins, like the one you just showed in this video?
I will before too long. I ma in the process of editing about a hundred segments of video to show a whole new worm bed invention. You are going to love it!!!
Hi there
👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Keep on growing Have a good day be safe god bless
Thanks for sharing I learnt a lot
Drunk worms 🐛. Awesome 😎
LOL!
Holy cow! That is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life!!!!
Too funny 2:49 "Free range worms"
Aloha! The worms you sent me are doing great! thanks again my friend!
Greg, this is Karl. We watch your videos down at the state nervous hospital. We was wondering if when you chop them worms up if they taste like potted meat.
They have a nutty flavor!
Hello Greg I bought some reds from you this summer there doing well in there new home they've been in there bout two months know how long will it take to get castings
Very ingenious system you have there! Designed by a rocket scientist! (Spell check put "rocker" not "rocket"..."rocker scientist" would be me in my recliner! 😎) You may be able to put a spring loaded idler pulley like the old tillers have to keep the belt tensioned...may be able to slowly tighten it too to slow start the trommel...or just keep hand assisting it...that seems to work for you just fine. Very cool video! Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed weekend!
A tension pulley is a great idea!
I live in the low country SC . Would a worm box like yours in this area work in the hot summers. We also see freezing temps at times. Thank you
Hey, I just moved 2 Altus,AR. Ive started my compost ect, but the worms here are at least a foot long. I've dug up some big worms before, but this place is covered with them. Noticed the soil is completely different then the AR clay. It's very Sandy here. And I would get rid of the paint brush and get your hands dirty. lol.
Those native night crawlers don't raise in beds.
Green Gregs Tnx 4 the info. I thru a few into a big tub, but haven't got my worm bed ready, I was just surprised at the size of these suckers. Have a Good one. peace.
That's awesome. When will you be doing a video on staying out of the hive?
Soon Cody - maybe this week end. Been busy prepping garden to plant garlic.
Ok I look forward to seeing the video.
i have had your worms for a month now in totes. i put them in half compost half peat moss and coco coir mix, they seemed to have used up all the compost that they could and slowed down so i got them some cracked corn wow they love it.( i hope Monsanto hasn't messed with the feed.) i can still see coco and peat in with them but lots of nice castings also. im at a point where im not sure what to to to grow my heard. ive got about 5k worms in 4 large wally mart totes. im sure you have covered this but i lose track sometimes.
Feed non GMO - See this video: ruclips.net/video/1pEhbAt5HCo/видео.html
Greg, What's the make and model of that motor. I built my trommel screen today. Need a good motor.
worm casting, worms, eggs...holy crap gold nugget !!! What happen to Greg, lol....he moved !!
Greg, How long is it before your wooden box needs replacing? Do you use treated plywood? What type of worms were in the video? A lot of questions I know but I'm always looking for ways to improve my worm bins and it looks like you have a very good system going on there. That sure beats hand sifting. And oh boy do they LOVE watermelon!. Thanks for the help you gave me when we thought we were going to get that last hurricane here in Florida. Have a great weekend. ☺🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛
Shirley K Greg has a video that answers all your questions. I think he’s to busy to answer a lot personally. I remember him saying don’t use treated wood , and the pine wood lasts about 3 years. I think if you’d use redwood or a naturally rot resistant wood, the box will last longer. The worms are red wiggler compost worms . I just bought a pound from Greg 2 weeks ago and they’re doing fine!
Alley Oop. Thanks. I've watched most of his worm videos. I'll have to go watch them again☺🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
@@alleyoop5185 Exactly - and Thank you!
Awesome
I wonder if worms get dizzy
Awesome trammel build. This may be a silly question but do the worms get bigger around to get on a hook for fishing?
Feed 'em rabbit poop of cow manure and they will fatten!
@@greengregs ok thanks getting things set up so I can. Order worms from you.
Greg, who run your wiring on that trommel?😂
What angle of slope do you recommend for this device? Also the RPM's of the drum? Thank you!
1 - 2 rpm - vary the angle, steeper when the castings are wetter. Keep it just steep enough for the castings to roll toward the funnel. I had the back set at a 2 inch rise over maybe 6 feet.
@@greengregs Thank you Greg. I thought of making the slope and speed adjustable. It sounds like this may be needed for the variability of the soil.
Question Greg????
If I don’t have a worm bed can I place the worms in my garden to help the soil Also on a average How much is the cost of a pound of worms?????
Worms can survive in the soil with plenty of mulch and if the area u live in doesn't get really cold for long spells. My worms migrate into my outdoor compost bin in winter.
$33 shipped
Yes, When I would get back from fishing the garden was the first place I went. Dumped all worms, left overs, cut up fish, I would also just buy a few boxes and dump them in.
Not selling worms yet greg ,Im Hankering for 2 or 3 lbs
How many many worms do I need for a 2x8 bed?
1 pound per square foot
I thought peat moss was acidic. Do you do anything to neutralize it?
See this video for how to do that: ruclips.net/video/8Pma91-0Zt4/видео.html
I got 1 lb worms, dead in3 days, put in plastic tote as you show, you stopped selling after I brought. I'm afraid to try again!
Email me Greg@GreenGregs.com - something went way wrong there.
😎🖖
Where do you get bags Greg?
Feed and hardware stores.
Dang ... Double use of a gold trommel ...
silage fork.
But I still don’t understand what you mean about worm castings.
What are they. Do the worms shed their skin and those are castings.
Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know.
Lol. Whoa! That was an embarrassing question.
You always like i'm bitkin bout shite an u gonna listen and be scared cus the end is cumin
when worms do not like light, it is too cruel to keep them stay in a light for too long and remove last part of the soil. Have mercy on little souls.
Not left without soil over them any longer than ti takes to weigh them/ They get quickly placed into a properly moisturized peat moss mixture.
And the door worms get so dizzy too.
What are you planting in your greenhouse?
Plan to grow lettuce - assortment of plants right now.
