What a lovely video of Speightstown my fathers birth town. I can see my cousins house on your footage. There is a lovely little beach near the restaurant Hugos which has now been closed for the past 2 years and some. I'm sure you know of Fishermans Pub a lovely homely local restaurant frequented by both locals and tourists. Reasonable prices.. Heywoods beach is good also.. My first visit to Barbados was 1999 and I was awestruck by it's beauty 😎💕
I Love this video. I can't wait to visit. Sabrina, can you make a video showing us your elementary, junior, senior high schools and your old neighborhood you grew up in?? We want to see.
First of all, you are very blessed to come from Barbados, i've only visited once, 2 years ago, and i fell in love with the place, you do a tremendous job, you have a kool demeanour and make ppl want to visit, i hope i get back now that America will lift the restrictions for the unvaccinated and hope they ease up in Barbados as well
If I was to make a video showcasing Barbados this would be it , this was beautifully done, I enjoyed it very much, thank you so much, I was raised in St. James, baywoods area, now living in U.S 😀🇧🇧♥️
Hi I am watching you at the moment. I was born in Barbados, but now live in Milwaukee Wisconsin USA. I plan on visiting Barbados in March, or April. How can I meet you?
Loving these local style videos! OMG, I caught that it was a cute town when I was riding by the Esplanade but WOW I am now officially enchanted!! My cousins used to have a general store on Queen Street like 20 yrs agp, wish they still had it cause Prediction - S'town is going to be a mash up of Holetown and St. Lawrence - not as [ahem] "raw" as The Gap can get (except for that sex shop I saw??) but not as "upper crust" as Holetown. And I'm claiming that blue dress, I sure hope it fits 🤣🤣🤣
Good night. I usually watch your videos but you seem not to do your research before starting your videos. As a result you are often unsure about places by name and how long services were available in a given spot.
@@BajanLifestyles Certainly. Speigtstown is our second largest town. With streets such as Queen, Church, Chapel, Orange and Sand. Major Walk is the road that leads to the Police Station and Speigtstown Bus Terminal. To School which is currently abandoned is called the Alma Parris Secondary School. A school for children with developmental deficits.
Other major landmarks in Speigtstown is the salt pond the canal that runs in an easterly direction and is presently being expanded along the area next to the Gas Station all the way to the bridge at Round the Town
Speightstown was the olx capital city, full of beautiful old 'colonial' (I hate that term) buildings. The main street is not wide and the arrival of the motor car which inevitably crashed into them speeded up their demise
thank you
I ❤️that place
You are doing an excellent job showcasing Barbados to the world. Continue the Walking videos

Beautiful and friendly town. My grandfather was born in Christ church
Christ Church is nice, but I like a visit here and there to speighstown
The fish is called an old wife or olwife!. Actually very tasty. Islands in the virgin islands st croix etc eat plenty of them.
ahhh ok nice to know hope I get to try it some day
By the way there are streets in Speightstown not gaps
Thanks for the correction
