I love easy beat so much, such a meaningful album to me, it made a huge impact on my life. It could be the ending credits to my existence as a human being.
I remember the last night of the "Easy Beat" tour ended in Boston (with The M's & What Made Milwaukee Famous). It sure was nice listening to all of those great songs every night for 2 1/2 weeks. THANKS (again) for all the wonderful memories and good times. You guys STILL rule!
I'd love to see Dr. Dog re-record the full Easy Beat album in their new studio as the road-traveled band they are today. March 15, 2015 will be the ten year anniversary of Easy Beat, perfect opportunity fellas.
EASY BEAT IS DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE DR. DOG ALBUMS! ALL THE SONGS ON THE ALBUM PERFECTLY TOGETHER JUST LIKE PSYCHEDELIC SWAMP. THEIR NEWEST ALBUM ABANDONED MANSION IS FUCKIN GREAT!
I saw them in concert a few times (opening up for Raconteurs, Bonnaroo, and at a small bar in Tampa)....they definitely have a little bit of Beatles running through their veins, imho.
I remember them playing this in Columbus OH.. not sure if this is from that show or not. But it was epic. I remember being like "did they just medley easy beat?"
I dig. The energy at Dog shows was incredible! Virtually none of the passive aggressive caginess and superiority complexes of the fans though! Love Phish but their fans sometimes border on the too-far-left-is-right sort of thing. It can be off putting. Music wise- you’re both right!
