- Here is what it's like to be a yacht stewardess and deckhand on a 120 foot yacht. Extensive amount of cleaning, cooking, and planning daily activities for the guests. Hope this gets you excited about getting into yachting!
if only I was 25 yrs younger I would have gotten into yachting as a deckhand and work my way up, did not really know about the industry then, until I stumbled upon. Below Deck looks like a great way for younger people to make some good money and go on from there.

Good effort and nice try to film as much as possible. I know it can be difficult with clients onboard and some can be real chops. Hope u enjoy it. At times those guest can be really filthy and expect others to just clean up their mess. Irks me as it's just respect

On rough passages the furniture is usually covered up and cushions stored

In some.part of the video you are working dressed in a tight and quite short miniskirt. It looks uncomfortable, or inconvenient, for working on a ship... Was that mandatory?
YES it was mandatory
@@meghanmargo Oh, and it's even of the type that rises on its own as you move around. Steep stairs, low furniture items, etc, seems somehow out of place for working. In other vids of yatch crewmen, girls were wearing that type of clothing that seems a miniskirt when viewed from the front but it is really a short pant. Seems much more convenient for that purpose.
This is an intersting life, and I want to believe well paid, but you need to be mentally prepared to make some sacrifices like sharing a small cabin, extended duty periods, variable shifts, far from family/friends... But indeed interesting

haha well not everything is shown, you're constantly catering to people...serving the 1%. I wouldn't say it is challenging mentally but it is demanding long hours
Yes it is. There ara lots of tasks to be done, either daily, weekly or monthly, on all kind of checklists

Pretty sure it is a privacy issue....some yacht owners have their crew sign NDAs, so it's nice that they let her film the oat at all.

@@meghanmargo You are absolutely right to not include other people. You could easily get fired for including video of other people if you took it without their permission. Discression is HIGHLY important in the yachting world. A lot of people who own yachts or book charters are people with big targets on their backs either from stalkerish fans or criminals who might be able to take advantage of knowing where they might be.
